We have already seen this video several times here in this forum topic.
This solution has been known and debated here on the forum for many years and has even been criticized for the fact that it harms the chairs more than it protects them.

Fair enough. I could see why more white seats then as they fade less in the sun. Surely it doesnt cost that much to replace seats though if you replace them gradually?

To be fair. We would prefer the chairs to be all red, like our Old Cathedral.






By the way, what is it like to be a supporter of our club, having your main club in your heart and soul share the same colours and "the same shirt" as one of our main rivals of all time, the Lizards?

It is what it is. We wore them first and the Green for us is to do with Ireland. I've no clue why Sporting chose theirs. At least in Real Betis case they started wearing green and white as they asked Celtic for some jerseys due to the Betis captain having studied in Scotland.

That old stadium looks class. Reminds me of the Nou Camp. How was the experience with no roof? Did people get baked in the sun or soaked in the rain a lot?

Em 6 de Novembro de 1927, as camisolas listadas foram utilizadas pela equipa de futebol, pela primeira vez, num jogo particular contra o Casa Pia, que marcou o reatamento das relações com este clube, mas depois continuaram a usar-se as camisolas bipartidas.

Quando, em Julho de 1928, a equipa de futebol do Sporting se deslocou ao Brasil, e depois de ponderadas as condições climatéricas daquela país, foi decidido levar a camisola às riscas horizontais que Salazar Carreira escolhera para o râguebi leonino um ano antes, mais leves e justas ao corpo.

Foram assim de novo utilizadas pela equipa de futebol, no Rio de Janeiro, na tarde de 15 de Julho de 1928, contra o Fluminense. A mudança foi um êxito e o Sporting conquistou assim uma nova imagem: um toque de personalidade e diferença que o distingue dos demais clubes por esse mundo fora.

No regresso, a equipa do Sporting voltou a utilizar as tradicionais camisolas bipartidas. Porém, a 5 de Outubro de 1928, num jogo contra o Benfica, fosse pela chuva copiosa que as tornou pesadíssimas, ou por outra qualquer razão, ao intervalo os jogadores trocaram as camisolas habituais pelas listadas, assim se instaurando (em campos nacionais) aquele que ainda é hoje o equipamento principal do Clube.

no, when the games for the UEFA competitions the clubs had to put seat, it was able to put up to 120.000 people, after the seats 80.000

Our old stadium had capacity for 120 000 persons. This is a Benfica - Porto video image with 120 000 persons in the stadium. When full it was one of the best atmospheres ever ( its what everyone said, i never exprienced) not my times
