FC BAYERN IN MOURNING FOR PAL CSERNAI

The board of directors, the executive committee and FC Bayern as a club mourn the loss of Pal Csernai. The former FC Bayern coach passed away on Sunday at the age of 80 after a long illness. Csernai worked at the club between 1978 and 1983, initially as assistant to head coach Gyula Lorant, and then as his successor. Csernai led FC Bayern to the German championship title in 1980 and 1981, and the DFB Cup in 1982. FC Bayern  expresses deepest sympathy and condolences to Csernai’s family and friends  and will always honour his memory.
