On tonight's episode.....

We start off by looking back at the second leg of the Europa League quarters against AZ Alkmaar. Benfica carried a 1-0 aggregate to Estadio da Luz and finished off the job against an AZ Alkmaar team who really didn't have the arguments to win this fixture. Silvio's injury was the low point of the night as he sees his season end early, and his World Cup hopes dashed.
Staying with the recaps, we look back at Benfica's win against Arouca in front of what closely resembled a Estadio de Luz crowd. Packed stadium in red, and an incredible out pour of Benfiquismo, and support, may have overwhelmed the players as the team looked anxious in the first half. A goal by Rodrigo in the dying minutes of the first half, and a calmer team in the second, was enough to shorten the points to the title to 2.

Next up, we look ahead to the second leg of the Portuguese Cup against porto at Estadio da Luz. Benfica has an 0-1 aggregate to turn around, but if we play like we can, we can easily book a place at the Jamor. We also look ahead to this weekend's game Olhanense which can seal the title. All the hard work during the season has come to this game, not much else to say.

To finish off, we brush up on the B team, and dedicate some time to Benfica Juniors, who lost in the final of the UEFA Youth Champions League final to Barcelona. Great accomplishment, that not even the loss in the final can take away from.
