Eu o segui bem no Benfica, mas sou da Holanda, então nem tudo era visível. Gostaria de saber qual foi a melhor temporada dele no Benfica? Eu mesmo gostei mais dele no papel logo após o atacante. Eu sei que ele tem menos bola lá, mas de alguma forma ele estava jogando mais livremente lá com mais coisas mágicas. O papel por trás de dois atacantes limitou-o um pouco aos meus olhos para mostrar coisas realmente boas, porque ele teve que agir de forma mais defensiva.

Espero que você possa me ajudar com isto. Eu pretendo fazer uma grande compilação de todas as estações. Já coletou quase todos os jogos de 2008-2009. O único que ainda não tenho é o Guimarães-Benfica 2009 para a taça 1-2. Então, eu estou curioso sobre as pessoas que o viram jogar quase todos os jogos todas as estações para ouvir qual foi sua melhor temporada. Apesar de ter chegado antes e já ter espalhado magia antes, a sua melhor época foi 09/10, na minha opinião.

Jogava atrás de Saviola e Cardozo. Era um autentico maestro e acho que era quem melhor transportava as ideias do treinador para o campo. O Aimar era nessa época uma espécie de treinador dentro de campo, nas palavras do próprio Jorge Jesus, que o considera o melhor e mais inteligente jogador que alguma vez treinou.

Tinha ainda na equipa jogadores como Di Maria, Ramires, Javi Garcia...era uma grande equipa e funcionava muito em volta da sua batuta.

Obrigado pela sua resposta. você pensou que ele era melhor naquela temporada do que em 2010-2011, em que ele marcou mais e jogou mais jogos? Você concorda que em 2008-2009 e 2011-2012 ele mostrou coisas mais divertidas individualmente no baile? Melhores bolas e delícias e que ele jogou um pouco mais de negócios em 2009-2010? Isso não altera o fato de que ele provavelmente jogou em um nível mais alto do que naquelas 2 temporadas com mais destaques

2012/13 - subpar. Physical problems.

If I recall correctly, his best seasons were the 2009/10 and 2010/2011. But he was terrific between 2009/10 and 2011/12, so you can't go wrong with any of those three seasons.

During the 2008/09 season he played between the opposition center backs under Quique Flores management and went missing for large parts of the match. Jorge Jesus changed that. And then, from the the second part of 2012 onwards, the physical problems started to kick in and he was not the same player.

I now have almost all the 2008-2009 matches and indeed he played too much next to Suazo or Cardozo. In my opinion when he was on the ball in that year he did show some magic that I didn't saw in the following seasons. I have seen a couple of matches from 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 but most of them I didn't so I go after what the true followers are saying. It hurts me to see because from all the Valencia matches I saw it was indeed the position under Quique where he played with the most free feeling. The security of two controlled midfielders behind him looks to set him free and behind 2 strikers he has to do more defense and can't act intuïtive on the ball. Being intuitive is in my opinion his biggest strenght. I think the big difference was the fact that he wasn't fit in 2008-2009 and hide too much. He only had to do 3 steps behind to get on the ball and act like a 10. In Valencia he always played behind the main striker with success. It hurts me to see that that season things didn't go to well and therefor he went back behind 2 strikers in the next following seasons. Still happy to hear that he did good on that position in those years

Hello I see what you're saying. In 2011-12 I liked him also more than in the matches I saw from 09-10. I seen maybe 6 or 7 from 09-10 but it looked indeed that it was more running and speed that year with most focus on Di Maria and Coentrao. The game went by him on the moments I saw. He was there so set up the play with giving the ball to Saviola or the wingers. But really creating things I didn't saw. Let's hope the other matches I will get shows a different side

I don't think you'll get lucky. First, because it's a game with 12 years. Second, because it was Taça da Liga, that then was in its begginings, so had low impact on fans. Third, the game was played with no TV restrictions, so everyone had the chance to see it.
