The story is a sad one, told many times...

I thought it was strange that French socialist Government invited the Turkish PM to the march, the neo ottomanist who with Erdogan banned youtube and arrested journalists. Not very 'freedom of speech' and not very respectful to the victims..

Did you vote on Samaras party?

I am a UK citizen so unable to vote... but if I could, it would be for the party of whom most their MEPs were put in jail last year...   :knuppel2:

Our Prime Minister, Passos Coelho (Rabbit steps), said the Syriza program is like a fairy tail that only children believe. For him it's just not possible for a country not to pay his debts and raise wages, demanding others to finance them without paying interests.
Also, he wishes Greeks won't leave the EU and retain the €.

Let's wait and see what Tsipras and Kammenos will do.

Bunch of submissive people running the country (the portuguese themselves are like this). Greece on the other hand, seems to go his way.

Faliro, what do you really think about the new greek government?

Impressed so far.

I agree with their underlying beliefs about banks. When a bank goes bust, it is refunded by the Government - meaning the tax payer - for free. When a small business goes bust, you are on your own. So are banks worth more than people? The EU seems to think so.

Now the EU itself is a pseudo leftist organisation. They talk about the 'European Family' and have funds to give away free money. However, with Greece - it was not family. It was business. Greece needs money? OK, we will ''lend'' you money.. and only if you do X Y Z...

Insanely, the EU has finally met real leftists in Syriza. They have called the bluff of the EU. This debt of Greece was made worse by the EU's remedy.. and Syriza want to discuss that.

This new government in Greece is not elitist. It is a true leftist Government. They don't wear suits. They are not politicians through family connections and friends they met in expensive schools. They are university professors and engineers. This is not what the EU wants to be associated with. This does not suit the career politicians or the banking elites.. Syriza are intellectual anarchists and deep down, when you really get to know Greeks... most Greeks are political and financial anarchists too.. That is how they survived the Turks,..

Totally agree with you in almost everything you wrote... But I also
think the entire Greek economy will collapse if their government goes through with all this. If others refuse to lend money (and they will), there's no chance at all and bankruptcy is waiting Greece.
