So firstly happy new year benfiquistas! :tocha: :tocha:

To the land of chaos and honey..

We signed a striker last week - yet another striker comes to greece who does not actually score goals..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franco_Soldano

New signing Giorgos Masouras is in training and in the mission for tomorrow's cup games vs Xanthi.

The keeper I liked who fucked up that one game is now on his way to Sparta Prague - Gianniotis.

However the big news is up at PAOK. They lost their striker Prijović to Al-Ittihad. This should cause them problems as Greek defences hated playing against him. Replacements are rumoured to be Berg (former PAO) and Facundo Ferreyra.

AEK chugging along with a replacement for Simoes - namely Red Star's Nenad Krstičić - they also picked up Anel Šabanadžović. Not even sure they will make a Europe this season. Their stadium is coming along however.. should be ready this time next year.

Bryan.

Happy New Year  :metal:

You guys have to be pretty broke to have to deal with a 1 million euro nobody from the Argentinian League?... What the hell is happening?

I liked PAOK's serbian striker. Clearly not a world class striker but a fucking workhorse who was relentless in the area from the few matches I watched. I don't think PAOK stands a chance of getting Ferreyra. He played again under our new coach yesterday and he's wages are astronomical for the current state of greek football.

We kinda have the money (some of our loans are worth more than 2 mil) but not the motivation. We can spend on a 7 mil player but he has to want to come.. and there is not a global rush of players wanting to come to Hellas. I mean we are competing with nations like Israel and Ukraine at the moment for third class players..

As for PAOK's serb, I agree. He is very useful - especially in leagues like the one in Greece. He has helped PAOK immensely. I doubt very much PAOK will be able to replace him. The Ferreyra rumours seems nonsense to me. I thought we were going to get him, perhaps his wages were the problem or he simply wanted to fight for a starting spot.

If Greece recovers in the next few years and PAOK and AEK build their stadia - we will be in the game again. ATM it is survival. The competition is a mess and also the country is now covered in snow.

Such a lack of football ambition for Prijovic to retire at the age of 28. Luckily we have Jovic and Mitrovic.

He may just want the pay day and look to return after one year like Berg/ Fetfatzidis.

If his only ambition are wages and not to play in a stronger league then yes.

Any good Blitzer?

He's a very hard worker, very aggressive, determined, not very disciplined tactically, a bit dumb on the ball (bad decision making) but a decent dribler

Made his youth career as a winger but had his best moment as a right-back in Nottingham

Very emotional player and not always the most professional :/

Elabdellaoui looks solid so far, maybe P. Martins is thinking of him as an alternative to Podence and Lazaros...
