Apesar das muitas vendas multi milionárias do Benfica na última década, o plantel acaba sempre por ficar progressivamente mais fraco e as únicas posições que acabam por ser melhoradas são pela promoção de atletas da formação, e quase nunca por uma ida ao mercado.

Desde o Tetra que esta é a realidade.

Vamos fazer um exercício sobre as vendas consideradas irrecusáveis desde o ano do Tetra, e quem foram contratados para os seus lugares, até ser encontrado alguém (ou não) com qualidade suficiente (ou não) para assumir a posição.

Another example, a man who wrote articles for Portugal's biggest sports newspaper has declared he was going to run for president in 2025 and was immediately removed from the newspaper and replaced by someone aligned with vieirismo.

On top of that, Benfica has a pathetic vote distribution where an associate starts with 1 vote and by the time it reaches 25 years of being associate it's worth 50 votes. It's unbelievable.

I don't see a problem with your questions.

Keep in mind that I'm completely anti-Rui Costa and the current regime so I'm not exactly unbiased in my answers.

This forum is, as you put it, an echo chamber, because most people here have an interest in Benfica far greater than the average supporter/associate. As far as I can tell, most people who are active here are tired of seeing Benfica headlining newspapers for the worst reasons, with Rui Costa and others being interrogated for suspicions of embezzlement and other crimes.

Most supporters just care if Benfica wins, don't really invest in thinking about the club's situation.

There are some pro Rui Costa people here. We don't take them seriously and make fun of them because they always find ludicrous ways of excusing the actions of the board. We call them "chalupas". Some people also suspect that some of these users are actually from companies which are paid by Benfica to have an online presence and defend the board, while attacking opposing thoughts. Yes, that's actually a thing in Benfica, it's revolting.

Regarding porto and sporting, well both clubs recently managed to kick out troublesome presidents and bring in new, younger people. For sporting it seems to be working, as they won two championships recently, which is something they haven't done on a regular basis for decades. Porto changed president this year, after having a sort of Godfather of the Mafia for 40 years, we are expectant on what the future will bring for them, but after 40 years of blatant corruption we are suspecting that they don't know any better on how to be in the sports industry.
