Premier League - Season 2023

The invitation to enter a team into Premier League - Season 2023 by the entry deadline of Monday 11 July at 19:00, has now been sent to the elected officers of the 22 clubs affiliated with the association.

As previously announced, the Senior Premier and Division 1 leagues are being merged into a single competition, providing more time for regions to run competitions for the growing number of young and female players in the sport, while also bringing more senior teams together into a single national competition.

"We have a growing number of motivated players and coaches in England and the hope is that this change, delivering opportunity for more teams to play the best in the nation, and others of similar ability, will result in a more exciting competition for all and continuous development for the future" said association president, Kos Galtos.

"It is envisaged that the Premier League will have more than 11 teams, and if this happens it will be the biggest national league conducted in England in many decades!"

On Wednesday 13 July a draft fixtures list will be published, and on Wednesday 20 July a video meeting of delegates from all entered clubs will be conducted to address and agree any necessary fixture amendments together, including any complexities balancing single match fixtures and mini tournaments where teams play 2 fixtures.

Through the course of the season, 2 further video meetings will be organised for delegates from clubs in the competition to discuss how to improve the format and operation of the league in future seasons.

"It is essential that we work together to operate and improve our sport, and my hope is that clubs in the league will embrace the opportunity to contribute equally to the league and making it better every season into the future", said Kos

Há uns dias levou o Trabal para fazer sessões de treinamento de jovens Guarda-redes.

Em virtude da dificuldade de organizar campeonatos continentais em 2020 e 2021, a World Skate decidiu que, em San Juan, as vagas no Campeonato do Mundo serão para as selecções melhor classificadas em 2019. #Mundial #MundialFem

A selecção portuguesa esteve concentrada esta segunda-feira e terça-feira, em Sesimbra, tendo em vista o Campeonato do Mundo que se realiza em San Juan, na Argentina, de 7 a 13 de Novembro. Para este mini-estágio, Renato Garrido elegeu 15 atletas, sendo que Nuno Santos (Valongo) foi chamado de recurso para colmatar a ausência de Hélder Nunes. Portugal defenderá o título e os adversários são já conhecidos.

Em 2019, houve três competições distintas nos World Roller Games que, na prática, se traduziam em três divisões distintas.

A classificação final do Campeonato do Mundo (a "primeira divisão") deveria definir as vagas continentais para a edição seguinte, mas - em virtude da pandemia - foi decidido em reunião executiva da World Skate de 18 de Março de 2021 que, em vez do apuramento nos campeonato continentais, as vagas seriam atribuídas directamente às selecções conforme a classificação final.

Assim, no máximo Campeonato do Mundo, estarão Portugal, Argentina, Espanha, França, Itália, Angola, Chile e, por triunfo na Taça Intercontinental e correspondente "subida" ao Mundial, Moçambique.

O modelo a adoptar deverá ser o mesmo de Barcelona, com dois grupos de quatro equipas a alinharem-se, sem eliminados, em três jornadas para os quartos-de-final. Os grupos, mantendo-se a distribuição de equipas pelo "sistema de serpentina" utilizado em 2019, terão Portugal, França, Itália e Moçambique no Grupo A, ao passo que Argentina, Espanha, Angola e Chile constituirão o Grupo B.

MUNDIAL FEMININO

Para o Campeonato do Mundo Feminino, em que a Espanha defende a coroa, haverá a registar a "subida" da Colômbia para o lugar da Suíça. Segundo a mesma hipotética "serpentina", Espanha, Itália, Portugal e Colômbia formariam o Grupo A e Argentina, Chile, Alemanha e França o Grupo B.
