As far as I remember, together with Lemonis and Valverde, he was the best manager of Olympiakos of the last 20 years.

Faliro

I think many would agree with you. Lemonis always made his teams total attack with very good movement and a solid defense. I think he would do well abroad, he is a free agent atm.

Godescalco

What is your opinion on Michel?

Are Olympiakos' fans happy with his work thus far?

Faliro

Yes, most seem extremely happy with Michel. He always puts out a side to attack for 90 mins. He has done extremely well.

Sa Pinto also seems to being doing well at Ofi. Dudu was signed and scored with his first touch back in Greece:

Sá Pinto at OFI? Really? That guy is kind of crappy.

By the way, is OFI still a satelite club for PAO?

Yea he seems quite crappy.. cool name though... :smokin:

OFI removed all ties with PAO last few years. They have now moved back to their old stadium and have more of a connection with Olympiakos than PAO. They signed two of our old players this week, Dudu and Nunez. Ergotelis is another, Olympiakos has lots and lots business with them. Crete is now more an Olympiakos territory for harvesting players - especially Ergotelis.

This might change however as PAOK PAO Olympiakos and Panetolikos all joined together recently to ask of they can allow 'B' teams in the second league, eg Olympiakos B etc as per the Spanish model. If this is allowed by the EPO it will change the face of the Greek League and the way clubs interact to an extent. Olympiakos currently has 25 players out on loan...

BTW quite a few Portuguese players in Greece now, all crappy probably, but still quite a number:

OFI:
Carlos Milhazes
Daniel Fernandes

PAOK:
Miguel Vítor

Olympiakos:
Machado

PAO:
Zeca (crap)

Veria:
Esmaël Gonçalves

Panthrakikos:
Jordão Diogo

Atromitos:
Fabio

Platanias:
Vasco Fernandes
Vasco Faísca

Also many loan players from Braga and other portuguese clubs.

Fejsa is a fucking tank right now in the Benfica midfield, very, very good without the ball, with the ball, his good, complies the 1st phase of construction, yesterday made great passes, very confident, seems mentally strong, a great buy.

Fever

Fejsa did amazing against Sporting but I'm not convinced yet.

Portugal has that B teams model for a year and a half now and we are already feeling positive effects from it. We have great youngsters appearing in both Benfica and Sporting and we actually sold André Gomes to a Peter Lim's (next owner of Valencia CF) fund for 15 million euros, and all his development was with our B team, he has very few first team apperances.

The change to that model is highly praised by both press and coaches here.

Faliro

Yea Greece needs this model badly.

As for Feisja, we need to judge him over a period of time, there is a chance he will be a glass tank..

Actually, the B teams started much earlier than that. Marítimo, for instance, has had its B team uninterruptedly since 1999.

What happened was that most clubs gave up their B team projects a few years down the road after its inception (by 2006, I believe). Now they're back at it with good success.

Fever

The difference is that the B teams he had on the past competed on third division and lower.

This time they were designed to be competitive second division teams (right now Porto B is 2nd, Benfica is 5th and Sporting is 6th) and that makes all the difference.

The idea is to put this youngsters competing against strong opposition in attacking teams. Playing against amateurs like we did on the past was ridiculous.

Santos will leave the Greek NT after the world cup, the EPO is now looking for a replacement with very low standards - they are only offering €650,000 per year.  ::bater::
