BC Red Star now has only theoretical chance for going among the 8 best teams in Europe.

If we beat all 4 remaining games - Barcelona (home), Alba(away), Zalgiris(a) and Panathinaikos(h) we will be there.

One huge thing is that the Most Valuable Player of Euroleague is a Serbian Red Star player - the giant Boban Marjanovic!

And the most faithful fans in Euroleague are of course, Red Star fans :

:)

Of course, not a very realistic but hey, we gonna play, already proud of these boys and the Arena on Thursday will surely be full against Barcelona. :smokin:

After Maccabi&Galatasaray, Puta Barsa is next. ^-^

In ABA league, we secured the 1st place before play-offs.

FC Red Star cut the point difference to 4 last week. We played terrible in first spring fixture, but last 3 games were great, 9 goals.

Red Star will play in Europe next year?

I hope you can sign Vidic (he is a fan?).

Not sure about that, my friend. Even If we defend the title and get to CL qualifications, Its a question whether the UEFA will grant us a licence to play in European competitions.

For now, there is no information, we will know in May...

Yes, Vidic is a child and a huge fan of Red Star. Even when he got to Manchester United, english journalist asked him whether he is living a dream now?

He answered that he already lived a dream - to play for Red Star, became a captain of Red Star and score a goal in derby. He told them that he has done all that, and the rest is not a dream, only ambition and profesionalism.

Great story.

I remember Nadal did something similar.

Every former champion of Wimbledon is interviewed by the BBC and the script is:

''So Wimbledon huh? The best tournament in the world?''

Sampras/Agassi/Federer etc etc: ''It is, Wimbledon is tennis bla bla bla''

Nadal a few years ago on being asked the same question live by the BBC: ''Best?? pffffff.... No I don't think so, there are many super tournaments around the world.. French Open... for example...''

The BBC journalist was like this..

Djokovic > Nadal  ^-^

When he was still a youngster and not famous tennis player, United Kingdom offered Djokovic a passport and nationality to become their player and play under UK flag.

Keep in mind that Djokovic wasn't from a rich family and was having trouble financing travels to tournaments.

He refused that and kept being a proud Serbian. The rest is history.
