Faliro, just to let you know that costapequeno is our soviet football specialist. Everything you need to know about their teams, just ask him  :smokin:

Just don't go into politics, because he's a die hard fan of the Soviet Union and Putin  ;D

That's OK, so am I. Putin has a house in Greece near where my grandfather came from.  :metal:

+1 to serbenfiquista, right?

I wouldn't too, but because of the cold  ;D

Anyway, they are playing an European game, they do their best with the objective of going to a better club, or just to leave Ukraine, so a lot of motivation. They are fresh, a lot of training time, preparing to the game.. adapted to temperature and pitch.

And they have good players, Konoplyanka being one. Faliro said too that their team is worth about the same of Olympiakos. So I think you are underrating, underestimating Dnipro.

The coach I don't know. It seems he was the former coach of Metalist. A team that has made very good championships.. 2nd and 3rd places since he's there.

yeah markevich, metalist coach 2006 to 2013 if i am correct, coach the national team also, sacked in weird situations.

metalist who have a president wanted by  ukr government and interpol is bankrupted now.
he was a close friend to the former president yanukovich and a pro russian dude.

What will happen to clubs that are based behind rebel lines?
Will they relocate - the Shaktar owner seems to be more 'Ukrainian' these days than Russian in his rhetoric.
Will the clubs that stay behind the lines join the Russian league? What about any clubs in the Crimea?

who knows,i think for the next years all will be relocated, shakhtar lviv lol.
but how far can all these clubs live outside their home cities, they will lost their revenues, fans etc.
Shakhtar owner have too much business in donetsk and donbass,he has to negotiate will the rebels.
Russian league?i don't think Uefa will accept as in Crimea case.
Crimea will have a regional league starting next year.

Faliro

So there fore the only option is a separate league in Donbass?
Seems ridiculous.

no,my prediction russia will not annexed donbass,it will stay a frozen conflict, the region will get a large autonomy from kyiv but stays in ukraine at least in the paper.

Really bad result for Oly. Not even an away goal?

I'd expect more.

VP fucked up a knock out stage game? Not surprised.

Olympiakos will be eliminated both in Europa League and Greek Cup. It is as certain, as after night coming day...VP is too predictable, when we're talking about knock out games. It is a 100% secure elimination...even if he was coaching Real Madrid, and the oponent was Niki Volos...

Well at least we know VP 100% dislikes Benitez, he has left him out of the squad for PAO on Sunday (personally I believe Bentiez is a good player, far better than Jara..). He is therefore sending a squad with only one striker:

Meygeri, Roberto, Jara, N'dinga, Milivogevits, Fortounis, Dominguez, Elabdelaoui, Durmaz, Salino, Maniatis, Masuaku, Mitroglou, Dossevi, Kassami, Santana, Siovas, Afelay.

Anyone know if the game is on Benfica TV?
