Hello again benfica friends, i know the season has now begun but i just thought id pop in to say good luck to you for the 2007/2008 campaign, ive noticed you have had an average start to the season but keep your heads up high, were you expecting alot more this season?
I was also looking out for you in the champions league draw and you could have got an easier group but you can grab 2nd i think, the games against Celtic will be the vital ones in my opinion.I guess you noticed our draw seeing as we got a team you all despise and im sure you will be supporting us when we play the two games against them...i am making the trip to Porto in a couple of weeks, do you have any tips?

Hi man.

We expect you to absolutely humiliate porto, we will sure be rooting for you, like we do with any other club that plays against porto, but this time being Liverpool, a team that we have lots of respect, makes it even better.

Our start wasn't that good, but happily we hired a new coach, José António Camacho, spanish like Benitez, he's a great coach, and the team is starting to show a different attitude towards the game, we know we still have a lot of hard work to do but we expect to at least get to the next phase on CL.

Good look to 'Pool and now that we have this English sub-forum we hope you can post more often.

we hope you crush porto... besides its liverpool the favorite english team for the most of us.
my bet: 0-4 in porto and 6-0 in liverpool 

about benfica...  hopefully we'll improve and make a excellent season... the start wasn't so good but we believe in the new coach and the players.

Oh I'm gonna love it. As you know, fcporto made it's way through the Portuguese ranking thanks to a great deal of corruption. They're filthy, absolute scum. A big percentage of their fans are nothing more than hooligans.

I live in Oporto, so you're coming to my city, if you need any kind of tip and\or advice, be my guest.

I really hope that you trash FCPorto for 2 reasons: First they're scum. As simple as that  . And it's so nice to see them loose  . But second, i absolutely admire and enjoy Liverpool! Such a great History, so many traditions! The YNWA, the "This is Anfield" sign, the Kop, Dalglish, Rush, Barnes, Robbie "God" Fowler, the great Steven Gerrard...and your good idea of making every final a Greek tragedy lol (5-4 to Alaves, 3-3 with AC Milan, 3-3 with West Ham, come on! Can't Liverpool make a boring 0-0 final?  )

Benfica the biggest club of Portugal, Liverpool the biggest club of England. Benfica, coached by a spanish, Liverpool coached by a spanish. And mark my words: Benfica - Portuguese Champions 07/08, Liverpool - English Champions 07/08!

Yes we only started that song whilst in Athens, it has become a much sang song at our game this season, what does your version translate to in English? Sounds good too!
