Someone throw a fish in to Olympiacos benche and the game is stopped

Festivus

PAOK look like a hard team to beat at home. Even Olympiacos have trouble beating them.

Yes, they threw 'gavros' on our bench and the game was delayed one hour.

After that, the game started.. one of the worst games I have seen in terms of violence and loss of control from the players..dark day for Greek football. One of the bad moments,..

And I thought what happened between the players in our game tonight as bad

Faliro

Watching Manolas beat the shit out out of the PAOK employee in the first 7 seconds of the first video I posted was one of the highlights. There were also fights between paok and oly in the cafe i watched the game.

How did you manage to survive?

Why so much violence in Greek football Faliro? And this is just in football/basket or the greeks have this tendency for violence? I thought you say that the greeks are very quiet/relaxed people.

Nope, Gate7 (OSFP), Original 21 (AEK) and Gate 13 (PAO) all go to football games, basketball games, water polo games, volley ball games - even table tennis. They will go anywhere to shout and fight for their team.

hahaha, I never said Greeks are quiet!! They are relaxed - super relaxed, but many also like trouble..and seek it out..football is a way to have some fun and break some heads for many 'professional' hooligans of which there are many in Greece...

Add to this Greeks in general fear Greek police as much as a butterfly landing on your arm in a spring meadow.. Greeks simply do what they want. They still control their country and are answerable only to themselves.

There was also plenty of violence outside the stadium. I think, Greeks invented drama and tragedy but unlike other cultures, they like to openly celebrate these two inventions at sporting events..  ;D

I like your country, here in Portugal, people are very fearful, and are completely submissive to Police.

But they do have a lot of power, and they are literally above the law. I do not know how it is  in Greece.

Greeks simply don't like authority. Even sometimes when I order a coke in Greece, I catch the waiter give me a glance and in his eyes are written..'I am not your slave, get it yourself malaka.'  :amigo:

Also here is the best video, the highlights, all the violence, the goal, the entrance of the players, all nicely edited with the usual outraged commentary..
