A season for the history books

Danish champions on Saturday. Cup winners tonight. Our Women's League team has once again added an important chapter to FC Nordsjælland's history books, as they won the Gjensidige Women's Cup 2024 this evening. Thus, they could celebrate "The Double", as they have won everything there is to win in Denmark in the current season.


The 2023/2024 season will therefore always be remembered for a historic achievement, where our Women's League team not only won the Danish championship and the cup title, but also secured access to next season's Champions League.

Tonight's cup final was played in Herning, and the opponent was once again Brøndby IF, who ended up two points behind us in the Women's League. It was therefore a repeat of the weekend's game. In the same way as at the weekend, we went to the break without scoring from either team, which is why it was completely open before half-time.

After just under an hour, the first goal of the game was put in, when Emilia Asgeirsdottir kicked it into the net to make it 1-0. A quarter of an hour later, 18-year-old Alma Aagaard showed her nose for goal when a too short clearance by Brøndby's keeper ended up at her feet, who from long distance safely and beautifully kicked the ball in to make it 2-0.

Brøndby reduced the deficit shortly after on a nice long shot, but there was no more to it, which is why the cheers could erupt when the referee blew the whistle after 97 minutes. "The Double" came to Farum.

It was therefore a very proud head coach we got hold of after the game, who had to pinch his arm to understand that both "The Double" were now secured.

Eu sei disso. Mas estava a falar na globalidade. Creio que já chegou a ser mais forte, nas três edições anteriores.

E será, possivelmente e esperemos que seja assim por muito tempo, a última vez que disputamos esta fase no caminho dos campeões. Na próxima época o campeão apura-se directamente para a fase de grupos e o segundo classificado vai para a segunda ronda do caminho das ligas. Somente o terceiro terá de passar por esta fase, também no caminho das ligas.

A tatica vai continuar a ser a mesma. 352. Acredito pelo que li que jessica saia. Para mim falta 1 central. Acho que plantel deve ter 23 ou 24 atletas mais 3 ou 4 da B. Falta a 3 GR e a subtituta de Jessica.. qualquer dos 11 da garantias. E a ordem é aliatoria. Nenhuma delas é titular indiscutivel.... o que para mim é bom!
