Prestianni has primarily lined up as a left-winger in his career to date, but he is capable of playing on the opposite flank and he could gravitate to a more central position in time with more experience under his belt.

How good is Prestianni?
While Messi is a left-footer who prefers lining up on the right, it is the opposite for Prestianni, a right-footer on the left. The youngster has a low centre of gravity, incredibly quick feet and vision well beyond his years, though, making him eerily reminiscent of his countryman.

Whilst there have been all too many "next Messis", Prestianni's career so far has been exciting. At 16 years, three months and 22 days of age, he became Velez' youngest-ever player with his debut in the Copa Libertadores in May 2022.

He also has two goals and an assist from six Argentina under-17 outings to his name. Across his 30 senior outings for Velez, the 17-year-old has contributed with three goals.

What clubs are interested in Prestianni?
Previously linked with AC Milan and Chelsea in addition to Barcelona and Real Madrid, it is the latter two who are once again said to be eyeing a move for the talented Argentine.

Given his club's poor form, Prestianni, who is of Italian descent, reportedly wants to leave, but a European side could only sign him prior to his 18th birthday on January 31, 2024 if he were to acquire Italian citizenship before now and the end of the transfer window.

Calma é um miúdo apenas e vem para uma realidade completamente diferente, ainda vai fazer 18 anos, vai precisar de tempo de adaptação não só ao país como ao ritmo e dinâmica do futebol na Europa, o melhor para ele será começar a jogar na B e já se sabe que só pode jogar em fevereiro até lá só pode treinar, tem de se ter calma com ele apesar de toda a qualidade e potencial que tem

Já o tinha visto algumas vezes para ficar com uma ideia geral sobre o que podemos vir a ter aqui. Visto mais em profundidade, é de facto uma oportunidade que não devemos deixar passar e que vale claramente o risco pelos valores de que se fala.

É um jogador tecnicamente muito evoluído, com um primeiro toque de enorme qualidade, excelente aceleração, conforto em espaços curtos e capaz de conduzir.  Tem uma característica que eu aprecio e que é particularmente importante em jogadores com a estatura dele, que é mapear muito bem para tomar a melhor decisão quando recebe. Ganha muitas vantagens à conta disso. Pode jogar tanto sobre a direita (onde acho que rende mais), como sobre a esquerda, mas em qualquer dos casos mostra-se muitas vezes a receber por dentro e acelera tanto por fora como para zonas interiores. Encara os adversários no 1x1 e é daqueles jogadores que quando não passa à primeira vai lá novamente tentar a seguir.

Ao contrário do que seria de esperar num jogador com este perfil, sem bola é responsável. Tanto quando a perde - não fica a olhar - como na pressão e na recuperação defensiva. É baixinho e leve e, como é óbvio, nunca será um recuperador de bolas, pois tem dificuldade em vencer duelos, mas tem capacidade para pressionar e condicionar o adversário, até porque tem uma resistência interessante no pique.

Precisa de melhorar os timings de soltar a bola no último terço, embora as decisões sejam globalmente acertadas - isto é, escolhe bem para onde a jogada deve seguir mas nem sempre selecciona o momento certo para dar continuidade aos muitos desequilíbrios que cria.

Ainda não está pronto para jogar na equipa principal do Benfica, na minha opinião irá necessitar de "botar corpo", ganhar alguns kgs e ser preparado para o ritmo mais elevado do futebol europeu. Não acredito que possa ser factor esta época, mas poderá ajudar a equipa B e estes meses de preparação podem ser decisivos para que possa aparecer bem já na próxima época.
