"Some additional details on the Freddy Adu situation: From what I've been told, Adu and Benfica had a prearranged agreement with the USSF for him to be released after the second USA match of the Gold Cup (vs. Honduras at RFK). The plan was for him to take time off before rejoining the Portuguese club for summer training. However, Benfica then decided not to include him in the first camp, so Adu headed to Bradenton for conditioning. At that point, it was out of the USA's hands and he did not return to the American squad for the remainder of the tournament. Adu is scheduled to rejoin Benfica on Wednesday. Still awaiting word on loan possibilities....."

Freddy Adu pode ir para a Holanda

O médio ofensivo norte-americano, Freddy Adu, ainda não tem assegurado o regresso a Portugal (previsto para esta semana), uma vez que está nos planos de um clube holandês, que pretende garanti-lo a título de empréstimo. No twitter, rede social da Internet, o jogador escreveu várias mensagens, referindo que está a estudar possibilidades «juntamente com o Benfica».

Desconheço, mas o campeoanto holandês seria óptimo para ele, pelo menos o último americano que por lá andou deu-se muito bem...

Sobre Adu sabe-se que é uma mercadoria há mais dum ano. Podem é não querer ver isso, é diferente.
