Benfica as laughing stock in Argentina

Argentino

Hey!

I registered to tell you that here in Argentina Benfica is seen as a laughing stock for offering that much money for Funes Mori.

He is a terrible player or at least not one player that one would pay more than 3M euros.

And here there are talks that Benfica (or someone close to them) would pay 10M euros.

Every team fan, including River Plate, cant believe it.

Please, dont commit such a mistake. Of course, here we link this transaction with dirty money.

Instead of trying to buy Funes Mori, get his teammate Lamela.

Salutes.

(Someone please post this in portuguese in the main board).

Our president making dirty deals???

Oh, I cannot believe it.

"Benfica as a laughing stock", we are already used to that, tell that to our president.

Also Benfica just signed Fernandez, from Racing Club.

He is a very limited player. I read an article (I think it was from A Bola or something like that comparing him to Di Maria) and was just laughing out loud. I mean, you wont ever confuse Fernandez with Di Maria.

Fernandez has incredible stamina, is a player that goes up and down the pitch and helps a lot on defence. But he isnt skilled with the ball, you wont see him going past defenders, his crosses are subpar and he isnt a player that gets into scoring position.

I predict that he will be back in Argentina in 6 months or 1 year, tops.

Same as I recommended Funes Mori's teammate Lamela, you should follow Fernandez' fellow teammate at Racing Giovanni Moreno (from Colombia, wizard with the ball and scores rather frequently).

Hope I put them into perspective.

Today in Argentina they are saying that the deal that would send Funes Mori to Benfica is off.
Good news for Benfica if this is true.

If your team needs a striker, go get Jackson Martinez (Colombia, playing for Jaguares in Mexico).

Lol... to be honest most of these are just rumours, no one really knows how much exactly we were prepared to pay for him, hence why it probably didn't go through.

I do like Argentinian players, but we need a balance...

Some "news" or "rumours" here in Argentina:

Benfica going again after Funes Mori    :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

And Porto are close to signing Argentina U-20 Juan Iturbe, compared to Messi :whistle2:

Hi there!

First of all, thanks for the feedback. It is nice to know what is being written about Benfica abroad

Unfortunately, our club is managed by someone who doesn't know the football market. Additionally, our president has made some suspicious friends, throughout the years, as it is the case of the agent Kia.

As you probably know, both Fernández and Mori were negotiated by Miguel Pires, a close business partner of Kia. As our club struggles with cash flow problems, these "friendly" agents decided to bid those players and use Benfica as a showroom in order to resell the players and profit. As our Chairman is influenceable and the squad unbalanced, he easily accepts this type of "loans" as he did with Ramires (now on Chelsea).

I understand Fernández is not a star player but I believe he can be useful. To play as a left midfielder we only have Gaitán that, as you know, is not a natural for that job and not that efficient defending. Thus, I do believe Fernández can be a solid option for matches agains stronger teams or to play minor importance games where Gaitán can rest. Of course I would have preferred a better option, preferentially, a Portuguese one.

Regarding Mori, we have an excess of strikers. I just hope we give playing time to our players and stop buying every striker who scores a goal.

By the way, what is your opinion about Gaitán and Jara?

Cheers and welcome once again!  :drunk: :flagglorioso:

P.S. - By the way, we do not have the money for Erick Lamela or Giovanni Moreno. Not even close.

P.S.2 - I do not know if you noticed but, if Mori was to join Benfica, Cardozo would probably be sold. Pure genius.

Hello there Argentino, what board to you read Argie news in? I go to www.ole.com.ar every once in a while, wondered if there's anything better.

Argentino, there is something 'fishy' about your post.   :whistle2:

You registered on SerBenfiquista only to inform us Benfica is a laughing stock in Argentina at the moment... really? And you... why do you care about Benfica so much?

Will you be so kind as to post links and comments that do prove you are telling us the truth?

Wanna read those 'amusing' comments by myself.

Thanks in advance, in case you answer. O0
