After Daegu, Zurich: The world's best athletes are gathering for a big showdown and for the Samsung Diamond League final in Zurich this week. All of the evening's events boast star-studded line-ups. All in all, athletes competing in Zurich combine more than 100 positions in the Daegu finals, 19 gold medals, 18 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals. In addition, three world record holders, 13 Olympic champions, and 17 world leaders are getting ready to shine at Letzigrund Stadium. On Wednesday, the official shot put events will launch Weltklasse Zürich 2011 at Zurich Main Station. A few stadium tickets (standing area) for Thursday night are still available.
