Não tenho opinião formada sobre Zacheroni...


Confesso que não conheço os seus métodos enquanto treinador nem a sua personalidade.

Apenas sei que é italiano...... e não há muitos que fogem daquele jogo. Mas como em todos os países, há os bons e há os maus.... e o Zacheroni é conhecido.

BENFICA WANT ERIKSSON - REPORTS
England head coach Sven-Goran Eriksson is being linked with the vacancy at Benfica by the Portuguese press.

Benfica have just parted company with Ronald Koeman, who has succeeded Guus Hiddink as coach of PSV Eindhoven.

Reports in Portugal now suggest that Eriksson could be his successor at the Lisbon-based club.

Fernando Martins, who was president during Eriksson's first stint at Benfica during the 1980s, urged the club's present board to move for the Swede who still has a villa at Cascais near the Portuguese capital.

According to the www.abola.pt website Martins told radio station Renascenca: "There is no need to try him out, we already know the worth of the Swedish coach (Eriksson). He would be a great choice.

"It would be nice to see him at Benfica because we know what he is worth."

Manchester United's assistant coach Carlos Queiroz, who has been cited as a likely candidate to take the helm of Benfica, said he was staying put at the English club.

Toni fala com Eriksson na próxima semana
Numa altura em que é falada a reedição da dupla com Eriksson para assumir o comando técnico do Benfica, Toni revela que tem encontro marcado com o técnico sueco para a próxima semana. E, curiosamente, o presidente dos «encarnados» também prometeu novidades sobre o assunto para essa altura.

Eriksson, de saída da selecção inglesa, estará a estagiar na zona do Algarve na próxima semana, a pensar no Mundial-2006. Mas Toni, que falava à TSF diz que não passa de coincidência: «Antes do nome de Eriksson ter sido aflorado já tínhamos combinado estar juntos por esta altura e certamente será o que vai acontecer.»

Ainda assim, Toni assume que o técnico sueco seja um nome do agrado de todos para ocupar a vaga deixada em aberto com a saída de Ronald Koeman: «Eriksson é um treinador de que os sócios do Benfica gostam muito, devido às passagens que teve pelo clube com a conhecida competência. Por isso, é natural que o seu nome seja aflorado quando há mudanças na equipa técnica.»

«Luís Filipe Vieira tem demonstrado nestes anos em que está à frente do Benfica que pretende devolver o clube aos grandes anos de ouro, por isso o nome de Eriksson é com certeza apetecível», atirou.

Por acaso Ericksson+Toni+Chalana acho que era muita coisa. Mais o Rui Costa, ficando o simão o luisão e o miccoli. Bem, acho que teriam que aumenta r a capacidade do estádio da Luz.

Benfica are considering approaching former coach Sven Goran Eriksson following Ronald Koeman's departure, according to reports in Portugal.

The Lisbon giants have included the current England boss and Italian Alberto Zaccheroni on their short-list of candidates to take over from Koeman, who has returned to Holland with PSV Eindhoven.

Eriksson has always remained tight-lipped about his future as he concentrates on the World Cup finals but a third chance to manage at Estadio da Luz could appeal to him.

The Swede was at Benfica between 1982 and 1984, winning the Portuguese title twice and also taking the club to the Uefa Cup final. After a spell in Italy, he returned in 1989 and, as well as overseeing another domestic league triumph, only Milan denied Eriksson a great success in the European Cup final in 1990.

Benfica have not made any official comment about the managerial situation as they are in Mozambique for a friendly with Fernando Chalana in temporary charge.
