Bem vindo.

Não me viste criticar a contratação do Cláudio Fonseca.

Eu concordo o Red Devil.

24 - LaceDarius DunnBaylor  Birthday: 9/5/87 NBA Position: Shooting Guard Class: Senior Ht: 6-4 Wt: 188 Hometown: Monroe (LA) High School: Excelsior Christian Team Site Profile Statistics

2011 Big Board: 63NBA Comparison: Flip Murray

Strengths: Prolific college scorer (19.5 senior, 17.1 career). Holds Big 12 all-time points record under his belt (2,285) and second in career three-point makes (388) ... Has no conscience shooting the rock. If he has space, it's going up ... Shoots a set shot with lightning quick release ... Utilizes screens very efficiently and the ball is out of his hands in a blink. Creates space well off the bounce, with the step back jumper being one of his pet moves. A knack for splashing the nets on high degree of difficulty conversions. Tremendous upper body strength and effortless range (36% 3PT). Will lull his defender to sleep before attempting a deep fade away trey, and nailing it. Has improved aptitude getting into the paint off the dribble. Highly favors attacking and finishing with his left hand, and uses the change of pace dribble to great effect ... For a decent athlete, he's creative at the rim and capable of body adjustments to finish through/around contact ... Two-footed leaper in space with solid elevation. Got to the free throw stripe with increased regularity each season (3.4, 3.6, 4.1, 5.1) with 83.6% career accuracy ... Major factor in Baylor's weakside offense, the frequent target of lobs and backdoor cuts ... Strong defensive rebounder at 6'4 (4.4 rpg career) ... Dunn possesses a specialized skill as an explosive, game changing shooter.

Weaknesses: Dunn is a one-man show and dominates the ball. His ability/willingness to fit into the team concept and accept a limited role is highly questionable ... A mainstay on Baylor's talented, underachieving squads that played with low basketball IQ and often failed to execute ... We know he can score, but what's his goal on the court? His game is defined by quantity over quality, playing out of control with horrific shot selection. 9 of his 15 shot attempts as a senior came from beyond the arc ... Saw massive drops in FG% (39.8 from 45) and 3PT% (35.7 from 41.9) with limited backcourt aid ... An undersized two-guard. Limited facilitation skills sporting 2.1:3.6 AST:TO ratio ... Does not improve the cause of teammates, only out to "get his" ... Minimal elevation on predominantly set jumpshot, easily bothered by length that impedes his sight line ... Defensive effort is often secondary or tertiary on his checklist ... Heavy footed on the perimeter with below average lateral agility. Immense concerns over on-court conduct and off-court character ... Recently cleared of assault charge. Dunn is old for his draft class, turning 24 in September.

Notes: Withdrew from the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament with a finger injury on his shooting hand. The PIT would have been an excellent opportunity for him to showcase his guard skills and silence critics.

Andam Ganeles 4/21/11

Strengths: A 6'4 off ball guard, Dunn is a prolific scorer, with his biggest offensive weapon being his outside game ... He averaged over three 3-pointers per game on 42% shooting behind the arch ... He needs little room to shoot and maintains a quick release ... He looks comfortable shooting off the catch and off the dribble, both with balance and fluidity... He can go from dribble to shot very quickly in one on one situations, making it difficult for his defender to contest despite a low release point... Utilizes jab steps and other triple threat position moves efficiently to create space between himself and his defender ... Sees a lot of screens away from the ball, and runs off of them effectively to free himself up ... Capable of hitting tough shots when creating for himself off the dribble, whether its from the outside or attacking the rim ... Absorbs contact well, with the ability to finish acrobatically after the initial contact is made ...

Weakesses: Dunn does not have an impressive first step- he's missing that turbo boost of explosion or the ability to blow by his defender which will hurt him against better defenders at the next level... He gets little elevation on his jumper, as you can see his feet barely leave the ground when shooting from outside, which should make it difficult for him to get shots off at the next level being an undersized 2... Falls in love with his jumper way too much, passing up too many open lanes to the rim for step back jump shots... uses poor shot selection at times... Poor playmaking abilities and is pretty one dimensional when considering the categories of scoring, rebounding, playmaking and defending ... Defensively he doesn't really possess any positive qualities - he's not big enough to guard 2s and he's not quick enough to guard point guards ... He allows his defender to gain a step on his too easily, which is something that can be worked on, however it will hurt his draft stock come June ... Off-court issues - allegedly broke the jaw of his girlfriend on Sept 27th are sure to haunt him come draft night ...

Overall: Averaging about 20 points per game in his junior year, Dunn showed off his offensive talents and true basketball skills with the ball in his hands ... His offensive skills are worthy of a second round pick as of now, but his lack of size for an NBA 2-guard along with his inability to run the point will limit his potential ... He's also already 23 years old, which never helps come draft time ...

4ever Red Devil

Final Thoughts:
Dunn was one of those rare college players who could score 40 points or more on any given night.  His ability to get unconscious and take over the game is well documented, and his shooting ability translates well to the NBA.  He can create separation and get off good-looking shots in a hurry.  Personally, I love Dunn to eventually become an NBA starter because of his excellent scoring and shooting ability.  One of the more undervalued players in the Draft because of his foreseen limitations and potential, as he is one of the older players.  Don't see size being an issue, but the potential to be lackadaisical on defense could limit playing time, unless he's burning the other team with his shooting.  LaceDarius Dunn has the tools to be an outstanding scorer in the NBA.  He was one of the most confident players on the NCAA level and has the ability to dominate a game when he's on.  Dunn tends to favor shooting the 3 and hits a great percentage beyond the arc from his career, making those multiple attempts worthwhile.  His toughness is underrated, as he isn't afraid to drive to the rim and take contact.  More often than not, he chooses to settle for his jumper instead of driving.  He does a pretty good job of playing passing lanes and picking up steals, especially during the latter half of his career.  The issue for the former five-star recruit in the NBA will be how does he fit into the team scheme, can he overcome the size differential, commit to becoming a better defender, and take less contested shots.  Finished his career as the Big XII's all-time leading scorer.

Atenção que este é um excelente jogador. Vinha muito bem refernciado dos Estados Unidos, chegou a falar-se dele para o draft da NBA em 2010 ou 2011...

Vamos ver se corresponde ao que se espera dele... da minha parte, espero imenso!
