Perhaps the greatest transfer window I have seen at olympiacos. Insane interest from Italy for Masuaku - Benfica all over Elabdoui and Kasami was already at Inter according to the press. We also kept Roberto.

We managed to keep these players. What is impressive is that the Italians learnt they can't boss around Olympiacos for players. Full price or nothing. No more bargain basement.

Then we had our signings - we finally got hold of Poulido after the biggest transfer drama and court case I have witnessed for a player. We got Finbo, Hernani, Cambiasso, Ideye and Pardo. Also Da Costa looks strong.

We have a decent coach and someone who believes in our youth. He is championing Bouxalakis as CM. Very happy.

Just think about it. Melissanidis probably wants to take shots at Marinakis, so with the transfer window closed AEK will sign Jara for free. Even though he was shit at Piraeus  (and every team he was in)

They were doing very well but the Xanthi game was a massive shock for them. They actually started believing players like Barbosa would tear up the Super League. In fact, although Greece has a shitty league, most teams are built to destroy the flowing football of the big teams. It is quite hard to shine in Greece. The last players I saw that found the league easy were Mirallas and Galletti. Most players find it quite hard to shine in Greece.

Rivaldo and Giovanni shone quite easily in Greece. They were super class.

The same with the great Djordjevic.

Exactly right. Rivaldo found it just as easy at AEK as he did at OSFP.

I would also add Dominguez had a pretty easy time last season.
