Here in Portugal, the National Team coach, Paulo Bento, used constantly Raul Meireles, Miguel Veloso and Ruben Micael, all midfielders that were having the slowest and poorest of the performances (and honestly are pretty terrible players nowadays), in several consecutive games and they would always start the games always on the first team.

That's why we had some of the shittiest games I've ever seen. For the World Cup Qualification we we managed to win only 2-1 against Luxembourg (with Lux scoring first), lose against Russia 1-0, draw with Northern Ireland, and draw two times against Israel, not to mention the friendlies we've tied and lost against Gaboon and Equador. What a fucking joke.

Watching Katsouranis 'walk' for 90 minutes - every game - even if he is injured is sadistic. I can't take it. Tziolis is a human lamp post - he simply can't move fast or even run. Maniatis is just a headless chicken. These are not midfielders, they are traffic cones.

The worst thing? We always do enough to qualify, before being thrashed in the main tournaments.  I truely resent Fernando Santos for how he has built our team.

Everytime a stranger watches Greece, I feel embarrassed. Seriously.

If I was offered Valdes of Barcelona who can't even make saves at his near post for the last decade or Roberto, who has trouble with every 8th cross acorss his box, I will take Roberto any day.

He is a good keeper imo with slight Vampirism (fear of crosses).

Fernando Santos explain in Portuguese TV why you play like that. He said that in the game against Liechtenstein he said to the players that he wanted the lines more high up, and the possession to be in the midfield of Liechtenstein until the 1 goal, he said that was fantastic, after the goal automatically the team down the lines (without instruction of Fernando), he said that is the comfort zone of the players, of the team, and that without training is impossible to change. Even against Liechtenstein you play like that. Shouldn't be very nice indeed to see Greece play.

If any journalists reading..Benfica should get Fetfatzidis, just read Genoa have not yet paid for him, despite demands and threats from Olympiakos. he has spent last season at Genoa. He would do very well at your club as he wants to stay playing abroad. He is an excellent player and has much 'fantasy' in his play. Could probably get him as a bargain as there are problems between Genoa and Olympiacos.
