Olympiacos Piraeus

Really poor by Olympiakos. Vitor Pereira won't last long

One of the worst games I have seen us play.

Affelay, Dossevi, Sanatana useless. Also VP substituting the CB for a DM again... didn't work this time.. We had a goal wrongfully disallowed at the end, but I don't remember a single shot on target before that.

VP is in trouble. We go to Leoforo on Sunday..

PsychoFan

Santana was not a good signing from the point of view of outside. Neto yes. Perhaps there was no one else. And there was this opportunity, VP believed he could learn, adapt to his ideas. So he signed him. Olympiakos needed a CB. And why he was not a good signing? Because he has men to men vices. Look at the first goal today. An example of that.

I doubt Olympiakos wil activate the buying option.

We will not be able to replace someone like Manolas easily..I said this the day he was sold..

We sold 3/4's of our defence to Roma and they all played tonight... for Roma..(Xolevas, Torosidis and Manolas).  Santana for his size is an incredible coward.

VP and Marinakis will be under the spotlight now.

Faliro do you think Oly can turn this at home? Didn't saw the game, just the result.

And you know this how? Because of this match? LOL

Olympiakos team is not great, few really good players. And he arrived in just over a month. A lot of games, little actual training. He's not a magician ffs. You think Marinakis and Karembeu don't know this, don't know football? Only if they were incompetent, which I doubt, they would sack VP because of the elimination on the EL. At this point, you can not demand much, it's very earlier.

Lycaon

He wouldn't need to be a magician to go through against the worst Dnipro of recent history in a fucking neutral field. Michel's team, which almost qualified in the CL, would've done that easily.

Covenant

VP ia a god here, but I don't know why. He is average at best.

What you mean coward?

He arrived late in contention. How come? Because he followed the striker. In zonal defense, the opponent is not a reference. Only the ball, colleagues and the goal. Unlike men-to-men. In which the opponent is the reference, like a ballroom dance, each one has its pair. And Santana defended so possibly his entire career like this, so he won these vices, which are not really easy to put down.

That, was the error.

He was a clown here a year ago. He became a god when he turned football pundit on tv. Maybe he should stick to that.

Worst Dnipro of recent history? Elaborate.

"Michel's team, which almost qualified in the CL, would've done that easily."

Nothing more than supposition.

Can't see it with VP at the helm... his fascination with Affelay means we play with 10.

What's there to elaborate? They hardly have a championship to play in. Last official match was more than 3 months ago.

Obviously, I'm not psychic :P

For me if someone is taking a long run up to smash the ball at goal, it is acceptable to take your eye off the ball and turn your back to avoid getting hit in the face.

If the attacker is close to you, less than one meter away from Santana - which is where Kankava was when he shot, to turn your whole body away to protect your face, is cowardice.  Kankava can't even get the ball as high as Santana's face from that close distance.  Santana should have attacked the ball and not gone into protect my body mode.

I have to agree. Michel managed to beat Juventus and Atletico with the same players. This Dnipro side was poor. They could not attack or pass well. It was impressive how badly we had to play to help them win.
