Part of the big corruption scandal was Marinakis telling the owner of Korinthos, he would lend him his best hooligans to beat the shit out of Panaxaiki fans at the Panaxaiki vs Korinthos game. Kougias who alledged all this was found guilty of corruption himself and his club was relegated. Panaxaiki is the club of the city of Patras.

That scandal took both Kavala and Volos to the D division. Both very good clubs.
