Just one Greek asshole? I can do better, here is 10,000 Greek assholes for you and your girl:

Not impressed...

Faliro, tell me something, are you for Juve or for Benfica?

Why you were hoping for a real Greek asshole?

Of course Benfica to win the 2nd leg, I despise Italian clubs.   :bandeiraslb2:

why?

I have been watching football since a boy. I have gone to games from England to Spain to Brazil. I have watched every game I can for many years. Italian clubs and the Italian National side are extremely dirty. The players scratch with their nails, dive, foul terribly and generally cheat as much as they can. It is extremely ugly to watch a team playing firstly to manipulate the referee and then to play their actual opponents.

Nothing against Italy, very pretty country.  :smokin:

listen,
if I had even half of your convictions, I would stop watching football and cheer  juve since a long time.

But, it doesn't.

Unfortunately this cliche goes abroad.
I think it's the fault of the national newspapers (sports and otherwise) that killing teams not nice to her, thus killing the entire Italian football movement.

An arbitration decision in favor of juventus, for example, make it pass as a "Combine" between referees and juventus and talk about it for weeks.

On the contrary, when an episode favorable arbitration touches the Rome team, it will make it pass as something that can happen in a game and not talk about it.

Then, if you do not like Italian football because the games are boring, this is another question and I agree with you

Ned Kelly

Well, for me this tie against Juventus was the best we could get given the circumstances: play Juventus in only one match in a neutral-home match for Juve would be worst. So, it's better to have a home match against them too and try to win.

One of my objectives in life is to see Benfica winning in Europe again. Preferably a Champions League, but a Europa League final will do it too. I've been to four finals and is far too sad to loose all over again. For us to get there, we have to be strong and beat Juve first. Our destiny is always face the best of the best, not medium-size teams that have one good season in fifty.

I've been to Delle Alpi back in 1993 and I remeber too well our 3-0 defeat. So I'm hoping to go again and see something completely different now. Perhaps we are not considered favourites on this one but franky we have enough football to go through.

Sorry for not having some cat photos to share  :smokin:

Actually the rep of Italian football has been going down for years because of the way the players play the game. Most teams are extremely cynical - fouling, playing to the ref and the Italian national team seems to cheat on average every other minute when they play. The cliche or stereo type was actually positive to Italian football - strong defenses and style.. and what has happened is the more people actually watched Italian football the more they were put off.  I am not talking about match fixing, which is clearly another problem in Italy - just the aggressiveness of the players and acting on the pitch.

We used to get Serie A free on TV here in the UK (channel 4), but the viewing figures declined every year it lasted.
