Hi StellaRojas, I don't know much about Red Star except that is by far the biggest club in Serbia and the only club in the balkans to ever win a Champions League. 
However I noticed your home attendances in serbian league are not very impressive (even though they're the best by far). Is there any particual reason for this: poor football quality, lack of competitiveness, problems with the club's direction?

I mean, Partizan's, which is supposed to be the 2nd club, best attendance this year was... 4000 (?)

Well, meu amigo, that is a mystery to everyone. It is most likely a combination of many factors. While Zvezda probably plays its best football in the last 15-20 years, that quality is not matched by the rest of the league, so there is no competitiveness, as you said yourself. All of Zvezda matches are broadcast on TV, so people prefer to stay at home and watch from there, especially now that it is getting colder. On top of that, a lot of people can not afford to pay for the tickets every week

I met him in NY at some tournament. So we got to know each other and had a chat. We never " played cards together" but we had a lot of respect for each other. I'm indebted to him, because he came to Štip, to play in my farewell match. So we climbed up the hill overlooking Štip ( my hometown) and I told him, jokingly: Well, you see, that is where the world's best footballer was born. We went on cracking jokes for a long time. He was a clever and interesting man.
