Seeing his transfermarkt profile makes me think this dude was a incredible bargain for Zvezda.

Bought from Empoli to Roma for 4M than gets loan first to Cukaricki and then to Zvezda.

I believe that our odds against Spartak Trnava are 65:35, but we still need to be careful. If we make it to the playoffs, though, we could get: PSV, Celtic, Salzburg, Astana/Dinamo. I would certainly like to avoid Dinamo, because of very possible sanctions. I would like PSV.

As for Radonjic, I do not know the details of his contract...but apparently, he is 50% owned by Roma until next year, when he is fully ours. That is why I'm afraid that he will be sold at the end of the qualifiers.

When he came to Zvezda he was a hopeless case. Yes, he used to be the most talented player of Partizan's youth categories ( much more talented than Zivkovic who is in his generation), Roma bought him...but then he started to:



While in Belgrade, he used to party until 5 am and then wait for a bakery to open, eat a greasy burek, drink 2-3 Red Bulls and off to training. He looked more like a sumo wrestler than a footballer.

A brief look at our reinforcements for this season:

1. Lorenzo Ebecilio-MF- 26


Lorenzo is a product of Ajax academy, so that alone says a lot about him: technically he is very apt, reads the game well. Other than that, he is great at set pieces, good crossing skills,  fine dribbling...with a very solid long-range shoot. He had a heart attack when he was 14, following his dad's death, so he had to have a defibrillator implanted...In spite of that, he debuted for Ajax at the age of 19, and played an important role for the first 2 seasons. He then moved to ex-USSR (costa likes it), and we bought him from APOEL. Very satisfied with him so far.

2. Miloš Degenek- DC- 24

We got this member of Australian NT from Yokohama Mariners, and so far, he has not impressed me. He has a great body, but he has been shaky so far, making some mistakes which were, luckily, not punished. Has to do better, he has it in him.

3. Milan Jevtovic- RW/LW- 25

" Serbian Robben" ( kind of looks like him), he has been Radonjic's substitute so far, so we have not seen a lot of him. What I have seen, is that he is a good dribbler, reasonably fast, and that he can bring something to our squad.

Nikola Stojiljkovic-FW-26

This one has been terrible so far. Often injured, when he gets some playing time, it looks like he already had one match in the morning so he is battered. He has gotten rusty at Braga. I hope that he will start contributing because we do not have a striker.

Dejan Meleg- 24- MF

Not much to say about him so far...At Vojvodina, he was one of their most talented players, the one with a playmaking vision. Here, he was expected to step into Katai's shoes. Has not delivered yet. But we will be patient.

You are completely right about that....let's hope that he will start scoring now. But our key players are : 1. Radonjic 2. Ebecilio. Radonjic especially. He is already more than good enough for Benfica for example...but RV is not good enough for him. He needs a strong coach and not hopeless cases. Hopefully, he will not be sold before next summer.
