Lyon anuncia contratação de Catarina Macario, brasileira naturalizada americana

Jogadora assina até junho de 2023 com o clube francês. Ela está em período de treinos com a seleção dos EUA

Catarina Macario é o novo reforço do Lyon.

NWSL draft: Trinity Rodman selected No. 2, UNC's Emily Fox taken first

The Washington Spirit selected U.S. U20 international Trinity Rodman with the No. 2 pick of the NWSL draft.

Racing Louisville selected University of North Carolina defender Emily Fox at No. 1 in Wednesday's NWSL draft, while the Washington Spirit selected Trinity Rodman with the second pick.

U.S. U20 forward Rodman is the daughter of former NBA star Dennis Rodman.

Fox, 22, is one of the rare players available who has experience with the full U.S. women's national team. Fox, who can also play in midfield, has made three international appearances while also featuring extensively with the U.S. U20 national team.

"I'm super excited," Fox said from U.S. training camp in Orlando, Florida. "I know [Louisville manager Christy Holly] from the past, when he was on the national team as an assistant.

"So talking with him, him telling me about the culture, everything that they have in store, the facilities, the girls on the team, I'm just so excited to be there and be part of the team."

Rodman, 18, was a finalist for U.S. Soccer's Young Female Player of the Year, and excelled for the U.S. U20 national team, scoring eight goals and adding six assists at the 2020 CONCACAF U20 Women's Championship last March. Rodman enrolled at Washington State but was never able to suit up for the Cougars after the 2020 collegiate season was postponed until this spring.

"To even just be in the draft with my situation and my age is insane, but to be No. 2 to an amazing team is out of this world, like I couldn't ask for anything more," Rodman said. "D.C. has just got an awesome program, awesome team. The coach [Richie Burke] is amazing. I've talked to him a couple times. I know he's a hard head coach, but I'm so excited to be his player and learn and get better."

As for the influence of her famous father, Rodman said she's ready to be known as a standout player in her own right.

"He was an amazing athlete, and I got those genes from him, but I'm excited to be known as Trinity Rodman and not just as Rodman's daughter," she said. "I'm excited to pave my own path and get better throughout this journey."

Sky Blue initially had the next two selections, but after taking UNC midfielder/forward Brianna Pinto at No. 3, the team opted to trade the No. 4 pick to Kansas City for $175,000 in allocation money. Kansas City then used the pick to select Stanford defender Kiara "Kiki" Pickett. Kansas City might have to wait a bit to see Pickett up close, as she has said she'll stay in school to play the spring season.

With its second pick of the first round, No. 5 overall, Racing Louisville looked close to home, selecting University of Louisville midfielder Emina Ekic.

The Portland Thorns moved up by trading the No. 7 pick, the No. 32 pick and a 2021 international slot to the Chicago Red Stars in exchange for the No. 6 overall pick. The Thorns used the pick to select Texas Christian University midfielder Yazmeen Ryan.

NWSL & Super League to follow

Oberdorf at the top: Soccerdonna with first market values for Women's Bundesliga

For the first time, Soccerdonna.de, Transfermarkt's site for women's football, has determined Bundesliga market values. National team player Lena Oberdorf from VfL Wolfsburg ranks first with a market value of €250,000 ahead of teammate Dominique Janssen and Sydney Lohmann from Bayern Munich.

"The idea to introduce market values for women's football has been around since 2017—the hope is that it will help to close the gap to men's football," Kay-Ole Schönemann, project leader at Soccerdonna.de, said. "But four years ago, most of the transfer's in the women's games were free deals and very few players signed long-term contracts. That has changed, however. The best players are more frequently bought out of their contracts by financially strong clubs and then sign long-term contracts.

New Bundesliga Market Values at Soccerdonna.de

One example is Pernille Harder. The 28-year-old left the Wolves for a record €350,000 and joined Chelsea FC Women. "What is normal in men's football is now also slowly becoming a part of the women's game," Schönemann said. "Most of the fees are five-figures, but there is a growing tendency towards six-figure deals."

Oberdorf's market value and her first place in the Bundesliga ranking is mostly based on her contract. After leaving SGS Essen, Oberdorf signed a contract until 2024 at Wolfsburg. Furthermore, she is the most complete player in the league. "She is a great passer, has a fantastic eye for room, is dangerous in front of goal, and has the most room to grow mong players born in 2001," Schönemann said. "She was in high demand last summer, and Wolfsburg secured her services. One reason was the fact that she won the Fritz-Walter-Medaille in gold (awarded to the best youth players in Germany) and became a national team player.

Initial market value, discussion & swarm intelligence: The next steps at Soccerdonna

All those are factors, which helped Soccerdonna to establish the first-ever market values. But Schönemann stresses that those are initial market values only. In the first market value update at the end of the season, the usual Transfermarkt mechanisms are supposed to be used. Most importantly, the swarm intelligence of the community. "The most important parameters are the potential of a player and the direction of a player's development," Schönemann said. "Added are age, success, performances throughout a season and the past, standing within a club and the national team. It was also important for us to not use values above one million Euros because that doesn't reflect the reality of women's football at the moment."

Throughout the course of the season, the Soccerdonna team plans to introduce market values beyond the Bundesliga. Up next, the English FA Women's Super League. That league will be followed by France, Spain, Sweden, Italy, and the United States-based NWSL.

City sign Abby Dahlkemper

Manchester City are delighted to announce the signing of 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup winner Abby Dahlkemper.

A seasoned professional and a key figure for the United States, the defender joins the Club on a two-and-a-half year contract, making the switch to the FA Women's Super League after four seasons with North Carolina Courage in the NWSL.

Following in the footsteps of compatriots Sam Mewis and Rose Lavelle, she becomes the third American international to join the team's ranks this season.

Defender Dahlkemper, who started every game of the USWNT's 2019 World Cup success, has penned a deal until the summer of 2023 and will wear the number 13 shirt.

Speaking about her move, she said: "I am so excited to join Manchester City. It's a world class club full of incredible players and I can't wait to get started.

"With all the talent in the FA WSL, I know that each game will present a new challenge and the opportunity to grow both as a player and as a person in England is going to be amazing, alongside having the chance to play Champions League football too.

"Sam [Mewis] and Rose [Lavelle] have been saying nothing but brilliant things about the Club and hearing them speak so highly about the facilities, the staff and the players as well as their experience of a new technical and tactical challenge is something that was really appealing to me.

"I just can't wait to get over and help the team in whatever way I can and be successful on the field."

Hailing from Menlo Park in Northern California, Dahlkemper played collegiately with the UCLA Bruins, where she helped secure the National Championship in 2013.

In 2014, she won the Honda Award for collegiate women's soccer, representing the top players in the country reflecting athletic achievement, academic achievement and community involvement.

Following her departure from UCLA, she enjoyed a brief loan spell in Australia with Adelaide United before moving to Western New York Flash where she won the NWSL title in 2016.

Following the club's sale in 2017, the centre-half became part of North Carolina Courage and played in every minute of their NWSL Shield victory before being named in the season's NWSL Best XI and voted as the league's Defender of the Year.

Whilst with the Sahlen's Stadium outfit, the 27-year-old won back-to-back league titles and secured a hat-trick of Shield successes.

Internationally, Dahlkemper represented her country at various youth levels – even captaining their Under-17s side - before being handed her debut for the senior set-up in October 2016.

She has since won the 2018 and 2020 SheBelieves Cups, Tournament of Nations and 2018 CONCACAF Women's Championship, 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup and most recently in 2020, the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

The centre-half also played the most minutes of any outfield player during her World Cup triumph, featuring in 622 of a possible 630 minutes as the Stars and Stripes lifted the prestigious trophy.

Reflecting on his latest recruit, Head Coach Gareth Taylor said: "We're delighted to welcome Abby to Manchester City, another exciting addition to our squad.

"She is a very talented defender who has been successful both domestically and internationally - with her desire and hunger for victory, we know she'll fit into our team ethos perfectly.

"We're really looking forward to working with her over the coming seasons."

Gavin Makel, Managing Director of Manchester City Women, added: "We're delighted to welcome Abby to the Club, who brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge of what it takes to be successful at the very top.

"Her record speaks for itself in terms of what she has achieved in the game, whilst her hard work and determination to improve are just two elements of the type of player and person she is.

"I'm thoroughly looking forward to seeing her join up with the rest of the team."

Não estiveram na convocatória do Francisco Neto é uma injustiça.

Mas sei que vão ser convocadas gajas do Sporting A que não jogam e jogadoras do Sporting B.

Podes juntar a Seiça (e a Pauleta)
