Wolves are reportedly closing in on another man with Benfica connections, veteran skipper Luisao.
The Brazilian centre-back, 35, has spent 13 years at the Stadium of Light, where he has won a number of titles.
But according to reports in Portugal, his time is set to come to an end.
The player was said to be in London on Monday night with the club’s president and a delegation from Molineux - including agent Jorge Mendes - negotiating the terms over his release from the Portuguese club and a two-year deal at Molineux.
He would become the club’s fourth summer signing with a Benfica connection, following Helder Costa, Silvio and Joao Teixeira - while Wolves are still hoping to secure a deal for Anderson Talisca, the Brazilian midfielder.
