The draw for the VELUX EHF Champions League Group Phase was made at the headquarters of adidas in Herzogenaurach, Germany, on Friday, 6th July 2012.

The draw was as follows:

The Group Phase will start on the last weekend of September 26.-30.09.2012.

Further dates:  03.-07.10.2012, 10.-14.10.2012, 17.-21.10.2012, 14.-18.11.2012, 21.-25.11.2012, 28.11.-02.12.2012, 06.-10.01.2013, 13.-17.02.2013, 20.-24.02.2013

There will be five home and five away matches for each team.

The first four teams of each group will qualify for the Last 16.

O grupo de Portugal é um pouco estranho. Ganhamos "confortavelmente contra a Croácia, que depois goleia a Rússia que tinha goleado a Polónia, com quem sentimos mais dificuldades do que contra a Croácia.

excelente resultado, mais uma geração a ter bons resultados em provas internacionais, pode ser que estas gerações possam continuar a evoluir para que a selecção principal volte aos bons resultados e às fases finais.
O Rui Silva é um senhor jogador e tem um futuro muito bom, era importante que ele pudesse ir para Espanha e para Alemanha para poder evoluir mais e ganhar outra maturidade, mas a qualidade está toda lá
