It's funny, after Raul José (the assistant), have told him, that he was being filmed, he returns to Samaris and begins to speak more calmly and gives him a small slap and motivates him. Classic JJ lol.

Anyway, go to the time 81:56, JJ tells Samaris, "you are like this", and he makes the example, and then after, he says "When you should be like this" and shows him how he sould stand. (Hope you understand, my english is very limited)

Ok, so basically Samaris was in the wrong position of the oncoming attacking player. Makes sense. Probably JJ was pissed off at the fouls he was giving away near the box and was saying better positioning could cure the problem.

That is his natural position. He is def capable talent wise of playing well there at a high level. Depends on his confidence and form whether he succeeds.

To be honest, I was really happy seeing JJ attack him. This is how you build character. Samaris is not playing at his best and needs this type of coach yelling at him. On the plus side, he improved greatly at Olympiacos. I think Benfica can take him to the next level as a player.
