No, it's not like that.

In Olympiacos it's the habit of winning that made the supporters arrogant and made winning not satisfying enough.

In Benfica it's actually the opposite, it's the fear of losing. Only 4 titles in 20 years against 13 from Porto, it takes a toll. We are starting to turn it around but any stone in the way feels like it can sink the ship.

Believe me, 99% of Benfica supporters would take boring, boring, boring 1-0 wins until the end of the championship.  ;D

Well in that case, it is very different true. The Gavroi start booing their own team after 3 or 4 back passes in the league... In European competition, they are much more tolerant..

Yes, the same thing that Faliro describes runs in our blood too.

But it's not the dominant feeling at all. And that situation with Trapattoni isn't the same as the situation in Greece.

The Benfica fans that wanted Trap out felt like it was an atypical season and Benfica would never win a title again playing like that. It's legitimate. I'm sure if it was a guaranteed title, like Jardim had, Benfica fans wouldn't reject him for being too boring... because they were 10 years without a title.

Lineup and formation?
GK Júlio César

LB Eliseu
CB Luisão
CB Jardel
RB Maxi Pereira

DM Samaris
CM Pizzi

RW Salvio
LW Ola John

FW Jonas
FW Lima

Typical Jesus 4-4-2, a lot of emphasis on the wingers.

Do you happen to have any goalkeeper you don't need Faliro? ;D

Faliro

What you think about him? Before Roberto, he had a run as starter.

Faliro

When he first came, he was a sensation. Truly impressive.

Then he got relegated to the bench simply because we had more famous/esperienced keepers come in and take his spot. From that point on, whenever he played for us, he looked terrible imo.

SL Benfica 3 - 0 Boavista

After last monday, another good game.
Maxi Pereira was on fire. One assist and one goal. He is in an excellent form. Gotta love him.  ^-^

Next game will be against Sporting. And Júlio César injured himself today. We have to put our faith in Artur.  :-X

50k sell out?

Yes. You have no ideia how rare this is for Sporting.

The only time they were so close to have 100% of the seats taken was in the inauguration, 10 years ago.  :rir:
