Olympiacos Piraeus

Even playing badly, managed to be the best imo. I saw nice things, he's the only one with ideas. But yeah, I believe he can do much better.

Go see Benfica!!

Yea.  O0 First time we playing them since.. the unpleasantness those years ago.  :2funny:

27,000 tickets sold so far. Benitez and Bouxalakis out injured. It will be a sell out.

=========================================

PAO displayed some disgusting banners against us on the weekend mocking the dead from the Gate 7 disaster:

I did not fully understand the meaning..'to those who still live, you go find them.' Just stupid shit..

===============================================

PAOK fans threw metal at Dominguez - hit him hard on his arm, he took a painkiller for the pain.. and they accused him of taking steroids...  :crazy2:

Shitty game..all the media agrees.

Here was a derby weekend,with matches between us and sporting in football and futsal and there were also some disgusting banners from both sets of supporters.

I'll try to watch that Olympiakos-AEK. Hopefully it will be the start of a new era in greek football with the rise of AEK making things more interesting. I also want to have a better look at Mantalos,who seemed a very interesting player from the little I've seen of him

Yea AEK always try so it will be a good match. They have a point to prove. They don't play the defending crap PAOK do.. that is why they were getting beaten 5-0 in their last season in the Super League those years ago,.. they always wanted the 3 points.. right to the end.

AEK actually have some good players, Mantalos, Platellas, Aravidis etc and some foreigners Will certainly be interesting how they play us - if they try and outscore us or play more defensive for the first time in 3 years. My guess is they play for the draw, because they will probably sell a huge amount of tickets for the return game and make a hard atmosphere in the OAKA. Vitor should be advised to go all out attack and finish them in the first game. I would like to see another this  :bow2::

Mantalos was wanted by many clubs but chose AEK in the second division, he is therefore probably on big money. He is admired because he is strong, but like Katidis, knows how to score.. box to box midfielder.

OK, game is a 33,000 sell out.

Meygeri, Xoutesiotis, Santana, Vouros, Maniatis, Saliakas, Afelay, Ntingka, Fouster, Dominguez, Diamantakos, Mazouakou, Milivogevic, Fortunis, Siovas , Mitroglou, Salinas and Ntourmaz selected.

Botia, Bouxalakis & Benitez injured.

Roberto, Kasami, Dosevi and Elampntelaoui rested for Europe and other games. Jara out because a car hit his son?

Game at 17.30 GMT.

AEK already preparing excuses... They could barely train today because of snow:

 ;D

Honestly I'm hoping for a draw so that we can see a boss atmosphere in the second leg in the OAKA. Then Olympiakos can win  ^-^

Faliro

I wouldn't mind that.  O0 The game at the OAKA will be mad. I wonder how many tickets they will sell... , the last two years they have sold the most season tickets despite being in the lower divisions.

As you stated before, for someone like me who follows the Greek league with... how shall I put it.. amusement and compassion.. and genuine interest... the return of AEK his huge for the country.

I am really curious about this game. It was April 2013 when AEK - debt ridden and in pieces were relegated to the third division. Now they are top of the second division with a billionaire in charge who was the same owner that they won their last league under in the 90s.

Their fans are fucking anarchists, but it will be great to see them back. Their absence damaged Greek football hugely - in Europe and domestically.  I am really hyped for this game,.

17.30 GMT - live on bet365. Does Benfica TV cover Greek cup games?

sbremoved_28408

BenficaTV only covers the league,I think. At least I can´t remember seeing any cup match  :confused:

How's V. Pereira doing at Thrylos, Faliro?

Settling in well?

Faliro

Seems so. He is having to learn the hard way. If I could offer him any advice, it would be to watch the games this season of Olympiacos before he took over. If he did that, he may see he is wasting his time with Affelay and Fortounis and he may also see Kasami scoring a lot when he is played further up the field.

He will be given time to implement his philosophy. He also has a fairly easy draw so far in the Europa cup - so he might be able to learn a bit before a bigger game in the competition. I wish him luck and hope he is not too defensive minded. I am sure he is enjoying the job and Greece.
