Olympiacos Piraeus

Well I didn't attempt the Poruguese article but the Greek one you posted clearly states Olympiakos were trailing PAOK by 1 point when Michel was sacked - meaning 1 point behind PAOK - which is how I remember it.

As for Greece and league. The league is corrupt, broken, fractured and deeply fucked. Deeply. To give you some idea.. the refs refused to ref this weekend, unless a investigation into their honesty was dropped. Also Veria are claiming that an unknown official came in their dressing room at half time 0-0 with Olympiakos - and told them the game should end 0-3 in favour of Olympiakos and that is how the game finished. Also today Lawrie Sanchez - former coach of Apollon claimed the league was fixed... It is in the beginning of this peace: 0-7 mins is the section on the greek league and it is damning.

So the league is completely toxic. Why is it sad? Because Greece is a beautiful country - on the verge of having a great football tradition - but instead it has a league that resembles a makeshift league set up in a prison camp to keep the inmates quiet. Sometimes I stay up at night and think.. with money - what would I do to fix the league? Firstly Aris, AEK, Apollon, Kavala and Iraklis should all be back in the top league.. then what? AEK needs its new stadium... many stadiums need to be refurbished with electronic tickets and cameras throughout... Greece does not arrest hooligans no idea why - instead police are told to spar with them.. that has to change... but then again... Greece needs a new mentality - and that can't be fixed. Greece is the home of the curious and stray cat and dog coming up to you for some affection... the eucalyptus trees swaying on soft hot breezes in the summer.. the beaches... the food...

If only they could raise their intellect just a little to make the league truly fun... they could shock so many teams in Europe... Greeks have a super eye for talent...and super fans... but alas... there is no chance of any of this happening. Greece is entertaining the way a zombie attacking some shoppers is in some horror film...You look and go.. wtf.... and yet... Greece could be so much more...

He´s the best winger of Vitoria, for me he´s better than Hernani, smarter.

Alex is a regular player, nothing else. Worse than Jara

To be honest, i don't understand the interest in this type of player.

How is that possible? You mean he gives up trying to kick the ball and just picks it up and runs towards goal?

It's not a bad player but it's not worth the money. If Afellay is having a rough time this kid won't change anything. I will say it again, I always thought that VP would go "fishing" in SC Braga, the likes of Rafa, Aderlan Santos or Tiba. Good players and inside the money you could spend.

Sporting has interesting players for Oly....Carillo, João Mário, Paulo Oliveira, Mané...

If you need to improve your squad do it with players that will really make a difference. Most of the times the expensive ends up being cheap.

Alex crosses the ball very well, but is slower than Jara

Olympiacos deserves a player with a level much higher for a left winger

Godescalco

If Oly goes for the likes of Alex, this proves beyond any shadow of a doubt (if there was still any) that Marinakis doesn't know shit about football.

The team will probably be rebuilt in the summer. Mitroglou may be gone.
Hopefully Weiss is invited back. He is a better winger than anyone we currently have. Gianniotas has been acquired. He is an excellent right winger.
Loria - good keeper from OFI has already been signed.
Nicolás Martínez of Panaitolikos was signed for €600,000 this week.
El Fardou Ben Nabouhane was signed from Veria - striker.
Also after Kourbelis, very good cm at asteras. Poulidis (Mexican) who Levadiakos took on a complication. Goutas - very good CB.

How much do you think Kostzilla costs now, Faliro? We could use a substitute for N. Oliveira, Derley and Lima.

mmm... let me work it out.

Worth £10 million last year, before he had his odyssey at fulham..

Found some form again this season... already on 13 goals in the league this season and couple in Europe.. Will prob start this weekend as Jara has been dropped.. say he scores some more..

I think a fair valuation is around £6-7 million.
