Sport Lisboa e Benfica

Lycaon

One step closer.

I didn't watch at home, when I'm in public I don't analyze the game the same way but:

Maxi Pereira, Samaris, Sulejmani and Jonas: amazing.

The others are either defenders without much trouble today or average exhbitions.

Fejsa played the second half. He's better than ever. I actually didn't like him that much the first games for us before the injury but he's in excellent form.

Jonas is currently my favorite player.

Player ratings for todays' game?

Hard to give you ratings for each player individually, gives a lot of work :D
We defended very well in a collective way.

Jonas, the forward with great intelligence in the way he plays.
Sulejmani surprising appear on starting 11, very good assist in first goal.
Fejsa got in in around 40th min after Gaitan injured. He returned very well from injury, he's in great shape, fast and powerfull. Gived balance to defensive midfield.
Samaris regular game, as Eliseu the left back and Lima the other forward.
Maxi, the great right back made 2 goals. The prototype of what should be a Benfica player.
Both central defenders and goalkeeper did very well, as usual.

Game turned out to be much easier than expected.
One more step towards 34 championship title. 6 points and 3 games missing. We can't loose this.

Another home win last saturday, 4-0 to Penafiel.

They were the last on table and with this defeat got relegated to 2nd division.

We didn't make an amazing game but even so we were very effective on scoring which made the game "easy".
Three points missing for 34th championship with 2 games to play. Hope we can get them on sunday, in Guimarães.

Yea who would have thought after the shitty summer transfer market? I mean we got Jonas, Samaris and Júlio César, but Porto had a more impressive squad on paper whilst our bench looked scary. In fact, every time Gaitán or Salvio were unavailable it was a pain in the ass.

Porto were a huge failure this season. Spent dozens of millions and won jack shit.

What will your midfield look like next season? Samaris still as the DM?
