If this is certain, it is spectacular.
Everyone is in shock. Benfica fans, Sporting fans, Porto fans....

No one knows whats happening. TV is on fire, everyone looks stupid and perplexed. So many things going on that is hard to know what to address...

For god's sake, Sporting still has a manager, just won the portuguese cup last Sunday. They didn't have 2M to sign a player and suddenly they will spend 30M on a coach?

I'm kinda scared to be honest.

30M?! Wat

Uns falam em 8M de euros, outros em 6M...

Depois tem um prémio de assinatura de 5M.

É insano esta merda.

Weird, indeed. Even considering the supposed Angolan money...

Covenant

The press is saying that our coach will be Rui Vitória. I don't have faith in him, but se will see.

Supercup will be red hot, with Benfica vs Sporting.

On a plus note, this can really fire up your league.

Nothing like hatred of rivals in football to fuel passions..

VP looks to be finished at Olympiacos.
Do you think he is a viable option for Benfica? A lot of fans here seem to want him.

What was Olympiacos's football like this year?

Our football was disjointed by our standards but that has more to do with Affelay getting Michel fired and Durmaz, Jara, Dossevi etc being poor.

It is impossible to evaluate a coach in Greece who is in charge of Olympiacos because we have millions more than anyone else spent on our team. VP however did not show me anything to think he is master tactician. Many weaker Greek teams either beat us or out played us.

I would say VP is a defensive type of coach who starts by trying not to concede, rather than making his team score many goals.

I preferred Michel to VP.. However at Olympiacos we care more about style than results. At Benfica I think many would be happy with a 1-0 over a weaker opponent. So therefore, VP has the potential to be liked at Benfica.
