Faliro, what's the price tag for Fortounis at the moment? Very, very interesting player. I know you been advertising him since last season, but apparently he wasn't just a one-season-wonder and is keeping up his shape. Shouldn't stay long in Greece, right?

Faliro

Maybe a little above €10 million. Last season - more than that.

This season he staying. Next season - no idea.

Here are the last 5 games AEK has played at the Karaiskaki:

On another note Patito smacked a player in the face off the ball and should have seen red. Before that Patito also pinched the ear of Figueiras off the ball. The ref protected him but the video evidence is damning and it looks like he could be punished by the EPO in retrospect.

Until Tiger opens his pockets (he is worth over €3 billion) - they are a small team. No point having lots of fans if your main striker is Pekhart.. ;D

One hour before the 3-0ara with aek, Cardozo predicted the score correct.

This is a thread about Olympiacos but I'm sure a slight off-topic comment won't be a big deal:

Faliro, did you know Sporting are now trying to make people believe they've won 22 national championships... when in truth they've only won 18?  :crazy2:

Do explain.

Summary:

Benfica is fighting for the 36th title, Sporting has 18. So if Benfica wins the next title before Sporting, we would double their title count.

So they remembered that the first editions of the Portuguese Cup were called "Campeonato" (Championship) so they are trying to count their first Portuguese Cups as Portuguese Championships, even though it makes no sense (it was disputed in a knock-out format and had the same trophy and rules that the Portuguese Cup has today) and would make clubs like Carcavelinhos, Olhanense and Marítimo former portuguese champions.

:rir:

This sounds crazy but they really updated their website with their "22 titles" and are demanding the press to treat their information as factual.

It's just crazy talk coming from a deep inferiority complex.

This is where I started laughing.  :rir: This is ridiculous even by Greek standards. Although there is an actual mirror in Greece. PAOK claim they are the biggest club in northern Greece. Problem is Aris have more championships than they do! Second problem is Aris won these championships mostly in the inter war period - 20s, 30s and 40s. It gets even worse - during their championship win in the 1920s for example - the league had only 3 teams! Because Olympiacos, PAO and AEK refused to play due a dispute.. in fact the whole league that year was only 3 teams big! PAOK of course ignores these championships of Aris. Aris doesn't and neither do the official statistics!

However this is really low by Sporting.. you can really see their complex.

Cloughie

The first "Campeonato" was a 3-game series between Porto and Sporting because they had won the Regional Championship (from Porto and Lisboa, respectfully).

Faliro

Nice 4-1 vs Astana tonight. - We play PAOK at home on Sunday!
