I'd rather see Crvena Zvezda and other historical clubs in Champions League than arab money.

European football needs clubs with passionate fans and not with glory hunters and tourists taking selfies in the stadiums. I am talking about Crvena Zvezda, but the same applies to Ajax, Anderlecht, CSKA Sofia, Steaua (the old one), for instance.

I SO wanted to get Benfica. It would have been such a great group of historic teams. Our group is a group of death...I can only hope we will not be whipped like Maribor.

1992...

Only 1 team qualified from each group at that time. Red Star was second and didn't go through.

We were third after not being able to beat Sparta Prague at home or away...

BTW just noticed that Red Star goalkeeper in the UEFA cup final in 79 and Champions final in 91 was the same guy! Holly shit!

Edit: nevermind. Same name but not the same guy. Funny they were both captains though.
