Greetings from Liverpool FC good luck this season...

Hello fellow league leaders just wondered do you have any new songs this season, is so youtube links would be good?

This season the "hit song" is one that i have seen Liverpool fans sing as well (you go something like oh campione, the one and only...):

Oh Sport Lisboa e Benfica, the champion
Show us your anger, desire and ambition
We only want Benfica to be champion

But i was thinking, more then new songs, there is something that we portuguese do, that i haven't seen in any other country, and i i think it's amazing. Is that bouncing chanting from one stand to another.

I searched on youtube, but only found one example: at our rivals Sporting stadium, with 10.000 of our fans singing Benfica from one point of the stand to another:

At our stadium we do it from the stand behind the goal to another. Imagine the kop (and only the kop) singing "Liverpoool" and the other stand (i don't know the name), responding with the same "Liverpoool". It makes an unbelievable sound to hear so loud and clear 5.000 or 10.000 people singing, where all the others are quiet.

Ps: Congratulations on your demolishion of Newcastle! What a performance!! 

Those youtube links are brilliant. The atmosphere you guys make when the stadium is full is amazing. I think your version of "Campione" is more intimidating than ours, I prefer it.

You're right, the chants like that would be great. We used to have some songs that went back and forward between the Kop and the Annie Road stands.. I remember the two sets used to tease each other, like the Annie Road would sing "Kopites are Gobshites".. makes a great atmosphere. People would go to the Kop if they wanted to sing or go into Annie Road if they wanted a fight  but after they put in seats and raised ticket prices it all stopped. Now Annie Road is like the Tourist Area so I doubt it would happen any more.....

We do have a slight problem today which is that after the game Steven Gerrard got into a fight and has been arrested and charged with assault and actual bodily harm. Ooops!

They are our best and biggest ultra group, and they have great songs. They are for our stadium what the kop is for Anfield...usually they start singing and then the rest of the stadium goes along (or not, and sometimes they are the only ones who sing).

But in terms of fans, let me say this: put 65.000 benfica fans in the Luz, and put Benfica winning and playing well, and we're probably the best fans in the world. Put Benfica loosing and we're shameful. Because our reaction (and this is a problem for the latin audiences, mostly) is to go into silence, sometimes to even whistle our own players. There are exceptions (the other day we were losing 2-0 to Galatasaray and on the 90' minute everybody was singing), but unfortunately this is very common.

But, the thing is, it's very easy to sing when the team is winning...what really deserves admiration is to have your team losing and the fans still behind the players 100 %, and that's one of the things i most admire in Liverpool fans. That and some great songs that you also have like the fields of anfield road. That's beatiful!

Yes Sounds good, are "Campione" one never really took off...kind of had its glory in Athens the died still gets sang now but not loud and clear. Your's goes well though!

About the singing at different end you mentioned, i agree it sounds awesome, Marseille do something like that, been there twice when we played them in last two seasons and they sound great when they do it called Aux Armes:
