Great performance by Rafa Benitez´s side, congratulations!  ;)

I still think it will be difficult to win the Premiership, but the Champions League is always a possibility.

Cheers!  :drunk:

I saw your game on Saturday, didnt seem to be much urgency..u have to remain positive like us because at the moment anything is still possible!

I have a feeling we may be returning to Porto when the draw is made Friday..how are they playing? Honestly as i know you would rather say bad things about them as us with Man Utd.

Well Porto is growing game after game, they made 2 great games against Atletico Madrid only god and Leo Franco saved Atletico from a Sporting-Bayern similar result..

Hulk,Lisandro Lopez, Lucho & Cristian Rodríguez are a really frightening attack with a lot of speed (specially Hulk and Cristian), technique & pace.

They're weakness is the defense, a little slow and short.

That 4-1 was beautiful.. I have already watched it twice since!

As for Benfica.. I echo GloriosoLFC.. Don't give up on the title yet! And even if things don't work out this year, I still think you have improved this year and when Flores has another summer to develop the squad I think you will improve more.

It's like with us.. since about 2003, it has always felt like to beat ManUtd we would have to play our absolute best, or they'd have to play badly, and we'd have to get a bit of luck. It has only been this season when I feel like we could beat them properly.... It has taken a lot of development and patience to reach this stage. I'm glad Rafa was given the time for that.

Anyway..I do hope we play Porto in the next round of the champions .. I think after last year they would prefer to avoid us

The thing is, with Benítez you knew right from the start that he was the right man for the job (did wonderfully with Valencia and on his first year in Liverpool to win the Champions League, you just knew he was good).

But with Quique Flores we are all having the feeling that he talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk (lol, this expression is so great). But ok, i see your point, and i also think that Quique deserves another chance next year (always changing the manager every year doesn't have done us any good, so...)

About facing porto: they have a good attack (Hulk is a very, very dangerous player, the fat-ronaldo-when-he-wasn't-fat type of player...), but their defence is weak. If you played against them, it wouldn't be easy, but i would be astonishing surprised if you didn't reach the semifinals.

Ps: Maybe this sunday we'll have something to cheer up: we're playing Sporting for the League Cup Final. It's not a big deal, but it would be nice to see a Benfica captain lift up a trophy (how i miss that image... :cry2: )
