I'm also very upset with all the comments that I read on RAWK Liverpool forum.
Since 2006 I became a Liverpool fan after our 0-2 win. I was really impressed with the reaction of the Liverpool supporters applauding our team and all the Benfica fans that went there. I learn to respect a great club with great supporters. Liverpool became my favourite english team.
But since 2 days ago I'm not a Liverpool fan no more. I cannot support a club that have fans that attack the portuguese football, the benfica fans, the benfica players.

All I want now is that Benfica goes there next week and perform a great exibition and eliminate those fucking arrogants.

I did not know there were so many Benfica supporters commenting on Liverpool forum.

For me it remains the same, I respect a lot Liverpool since the 80's, we have lost a lot to them (actually the first 5 matches we have lost and the last 4 we have won!). There are stupid people everywhere, including the guy specialized in fireworks. But this is one guy, not BENFICA.

Saying this, I will be in Anfield on the 8th I hope all this fuzz does not contribute to any problem outside the pitch, but I have been in worst places with the moto: SEM MEDO!

I've only just got chance to come and visit you since my trip to Lisboa, and i'm shocked by the previous posts i've read. I didn't realise this was going on, i will obviously go and study the posts on RAWK but im guessin it's just a few knobheads who are annoyed with our season and it's always so much easier to have a go behind a computer screen. As a match going fan the general opinion i got was that we were annoyed with the decision's during the game as is natural but then when we saw the back on tv we saw the the MAIN decisions we're correct...i apologise to all of you for any harsh comments, and as has previously been said we all have pricks amongst our fanbase.

Myself, i had a fantastic time in your City....with no problems whatever. We we're in an "British Bar" on th wednesday night and the songs were getting sung, i got chatting to a Benfica fan and as he was massively outnumbered i offered to help him sing "Glorioso SLB" which i thing he appreciated? I walked around your city on the Thursday saw some beautfiul views and cultural monuments and building, then we visited the Estadio de Luz on Friday morning and saw Victoria before flying home.

I hope our fans we regain your respect on thursday, and i promise the majority will be really friendly 2 you! YNWA-Glorioso SLB!

The ref made bad decisions. But for both sides. Maybe the red card to Babel was to much... but Insua should have been sent off in the first penalty. BTW, the two that were scored are CLEAR FOULS. How can some idiots call Aimar a... diver? Besides those two penaltys, Lucas played the ball with his hand in the area (this is a difficult one, i admitt...) and Carragher had a Karate Kid move on Cardozo. The ref didn't saw...
Agger, for example, not even a yellow card saw... passed the intire game arguing with the ref.
The "Assassin kick" of Luisão that some cry about is unbelievable... it was hard, i agree, but he saw the yellow card. Red? I watch the Premier League every weekend and, as you known for sure, there are some hard shit sometimes... strong takles. I don't see red cards in every game...

Just get over it. There aren't any "special supporters". In Liverpool there are good people and bad people, just like in everywhere else. Befriend the good, forget the bad. And the clubs have nothing to do with it.

So, Liverpool is just another opponent, and it will be hard. If we can score first and neutralise Torres, we have the game in our hands.
