After the game the feeling was one of resignation. Conformism.

Today I return in a utopian way to believe that it is possible to turn the eliminatory around. The fact that Liverpool have two decisive matches against City could benefit Benfica. Salah and Mané (despite having scored in front of goal) are worn out by the games in the service of their national teams.

At Benfica Ramos he is essential for the balance of the team and must be spared on Saturday's match. They cannot fail on defensive set pieces and avoid errors in the transition to attack.

Firstly terrific effort by Benfica in the return game.

The Greek NT teams appear to me to be selected on bribes rather than talent. The paid up LBs are the trash Giannoulis, Tzavellas and Stafylidis. All 3 are garbage. By Tsimikas playing for Liverpool, it was impossible for the EPO to leave him out the squad, but what about those who have already paid their bribes? Well they were all selected too... Nearly every Greek squad the last 4 years has had at least 3 LBs in it.. Anything to shit on Olympiacos players.

Tsimikas is a quality player - surrounded by absolute trash in the Greek NT. But last campaign... he didnt even get to play as Giannoulis was preferred because he is not Olympiacos.. Tsimikas, if he does start more, will not be enough to lift Greece as he will be surrounded by AEK trash defenders.. AEK who have one of the worst defences in Greece..

Question for a total newb but barring the 90% of people who support whatever their parents did, how do people in Lisbon or outsiders decide to support Benfica vs Sporting or vice versa? Is it class based, political or just one being more successful? I have an idea of it but not 100%.
