But yea, our obligation is to win, we are much better side then PAOK, but it doesnt metter who is the favorite outside the pitch. We have to prove it.
I think unless a catastrophe happens we will beat PAOK.

Benfica seems to improving lately. PAOK is definitely behind both. We beat them 4-0 last month.

In Portugal, Olympiakos could have a team 3 times more expensive than fcporto and even so you would loose the championship, or you would only won it in last round. You would won 1 in 3 seasons maximum.

Extremely weak side, they have lost their last 4 games away - teams like Panionios and Asteras beat them easily. I was surprised how much time benfica gave them first half. Second half the gap in quality was more evident.
The goal was offside but Benfica were superior. As stated before, this is the weakest PAOK side in years and when people ask about the quality of the Greek league compared to a few years ago - PAOK is currently second in the league.... ::)

No idea. Salpigidis is a very difficult player for defenses. He is very difficult to mark and always causes problems. He was only given 10 minutes? Stoch told Stevens to 'fuck off' during a game a few weeks ago and has been on the bench a lot since then. As for Lucas, Stevens stated Ninis showed more in training. PAOK peaked in September, it has been downhill since then for them. PAO are catching them for second place and PAO play an under 19 team as their first team... ::bater::

He's been doing a pretty good job in Estoril, but he needs to move to a bigger club to prove his worth.
Marco Silva is quite good. I think he'll be brilliant...but I'm pretty sure that moving to Greece is going to be a step back. The thing is, that the 4 most interesting teams to manage in Portugal (Benfica, POrto, Sporting, Braga)...all of them have coaches to 2014/2015. Some people say he's gonna substitute Jesus at Benfica on a near future.

But I like PAOK and I would like to see what he can do there. I think they have better team for the season that they did, but not very well organized. So with him I'm sure that they can do better. Probably not enough to win, but more close. But if eventually this happen can't have more doubts about him.

I just saw that, would be excellent signings for PAOK, especially Carlos Eduardo. And the last one is known as Sami, is a forward.
They are all ok players for the PAOK reality but they are nothing you should worry about. Kelvin no one knows what he's worth but Carlos Eduardo and Sami are solid Primeira Liga players. They would be starters in any mid-table team in Portugal.
I would say good enough for PAOK, not good enough for Olympiacos.

Benfica reveals as a team with a lot more experience at this level, and yesterday was very focus on what they should do.
I love this kind of games with this athmosfere, it turns everything more exciting. And for me Benfica is a team that right now can face this environment without be condictioned and take some advantage of that to put the pressure on the other side. We can criticise a lot Rui Vitória, but if it was a team of Jorge Jesus after the first 15 minutes of the game, we would lose all the control and lose that game for sure.
I hope PAOK can continue with this coach, and growing. If they have some criterium with the transfers and stabilize they will finally win Greek League and they can do better next times in UEFA competitions.
PAOK is a interesting team. Good game in Lisbon and a nice start in Salonica, but Benfica is very superior and had a great mentality, other Benfica teams could suffer more with that game. Best of luck for Europa League.

Well... he's way better than Martins. It's a big coup for PAOK, if you asked me if this was possible I would've said no.

Thanks. Perhaps he gambles - winning the league with PAOK is a ticket to a premiership job. Hellas is so often a stepping stone for Portuguese coaches.
Olympiacos and PAOK have very similar budgets now.
Both teams kept their core from last season and enhanced slightly. Olympiacos are yet to reveal the new striker for the following season - but both teams are fairly similar quality wise.
This season will truly be - the better manager - wins the league. It is very simple.
If Martins does not win the league this season, he is out.
Abel is an average coach, from my point of view.
Looks like a Rui Vitória with better tactical skills, but nothing special. He likes to talk about honour, will, professionalism, agressivity and that kind of things, nothing related to specific football and tactical subjects. "His" Braga is awful when it comes to defend.
Last season, Braga has lost 6-2 and 1-4 to Benfica, 3-0 to Porto (cup) and Sporting, for instance.
But that's my opinion. Some users here like him. I respect that.
Abel is a good coach. Has flaws, like many others, but if I had to specifically pick one it would be his stubbornness. He seems to favor players who follow the plan but who lack creativity to "think outside the box", which makes his game plan too predictable. His teams are well-organized, but very naive, thus not very hard to play against.
Still, he's miles ahead of Pedro Martins.

I dont think that, at the moment, he is capable of managing a big team, he can be quite "limited". He seems to fail under pressure (playing against more experienced teams).
As it was said before, he is a little bit better than rui vitoria. At least he has a personality. If I was a player in their teams, I would run for Abel , I wouldn't run for Rui Vitoria lol
I do think that he has plenty of "room" to improve as a manager and maybe getting away from the Portuguese league is a good thing for him atm.

I like him, but his teams are very inconsistent. Against us, they play amazingly well. He clearly prepared the matches masterfully. However, they underperformed in so many random matches that I can't say he's better than Abel.

They deserve this. Remember last season when they were throwing games in Europe - losing to Video and Bate at home? They threw those games to save energy and players for the league. If they had played honourably, they would have amassed more points and would not be in the weaker pot come the day of the draw.

I agree with what the PAOK coach Abel said after the game. That ref was willing to give even a 4th penalty if Ajax had needed it..

No I think Abel has quite a bit of rope at PAOK. Plus PAOK are notoriously bad in Europe and Savvidis doesnt seem to care each time.
Uefa competions was a big handicap for Abel in Braga. Besides that he also failed all the games against Benfica, Porto and Sporting.
What a disgrace this season, all Greek teams already out - except Olympiakos, probably will fight for third place.
