Reed says he could be in position to start with his plans in Battle Creek as soon as next year because he is thinking about ending his pro career after one more season.

"This might be my last year over there. The last six months I've been thinking about letting it go, just because there is stuff I want to do over here," Reed said. "I want to get into coaching, high school coaching or college coaching, don't know yet. But I figure if I start off early enough I can do what I want to do. I don't want to be one of those players that play over there until they are 35 and then come home and have to start over.

"I stay in contact with people here and with people at Western. There might be some opportunities to come back and be an undergraduate assistant at Western and see if that's the direction I want to go."

"They treat me great and I'm having a great time over there. My body feels great and I feel like I can still play several more years. But there's something still missing. Being over there all these years has kind of taken its toll," Reed said. "There's other stuff I want to do. Stuff I want to do for the city of Battle Creek because I see how things are going here and I want to help.

"My main focus will be playing next year, but in the back of my head, I will be thinking about what I'm going to do next."



É perfeitamente compreensível.
Apesar de achar que ele é muito novo para acabar a carreira, mas ele é que sabe se não quer jogar mais a nível profissional.
