These are the new players in the 2011/2012 squad. Those that have "*" in front of their name their situation isn't clear yet. They could steel leave the squad until this transfer window closes.
A young portuguese goal-keeper called "Mika" is also joing us after the WC under20.
We are still in the market looking for a left defender (someone is coming for sure) and other players are talked in the press. Players like Danilo (Santos) or Magala (Standard).

Why do Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce fans keep saying s**t in "our" Facebook? Is the rivalry between you two that big? I always thought the hate focus was between the Istambul trio (Gala, Fener and Besiktas).

To be honest, I don´t except much difficulty from you guys. If we can't beat you, then we just don't deserve to play Champions League, and is just that simple. The only thing that worries me Is our defense. Maxi Pereira, Garay and Luisão are playing "Copa América", and we still have to buy one left-back, after selling Fábio Coentrão (sold to Real Madrid, 30M€). That means that we basically have a second line defense preparing to face your team.

Our midfield will probably be constituted by Javi Garcia (7M€, Real Madrid), Witsel (8M€, Standard Liege), Gaitan (8M€, Boca Juniors) and Aimar (6,5M€, Zaragoza). Upront, Cardozo (12M€, Newell's) and Saviola (5M€, Real Madrid). If we look at this numbers, we have the obligation to pass this test, without any cockiness. Benfica is slowly investing more and more, and not be in the CL groups would be catastrophic to our finance's.

11 that will probably be used against you:

GK - Artur (very solid goalkeeper, came from Braga, who reached the Europa League last year)
RB - ??
CB - ??
CB - ??
LB - ??
Dmd - Javi Garcia
CM - Witsel
LM - Gaitan
OM - Aimar
CF - Saviola
Striker - Cardozo

We tend to play a very technique football, passing the ball around and creating gaps in the opposition defense, always with a very quick rhythm. I have no idea if we will be physically prepared to apply pressure in your team all around the pitch, but I certainly hope that.

Last season was far beyond our expectations, we hoping far better this year. Good luck.

(Oh, and Colman is a fetish around here. Or at least he was)

if luisão and maxi pereira return ready to play i think it will be an easier (no easy) match

Hello from Turkey

Firstly, we are best club last season in Turkish Super League. But we lost important players in this summer :( For example;

Selcuk İnan: He was best midfielder in our team last season. (Galatasaray SK)
Egemen Korkmaz : He was best defender in our team last season. ( Besiktas JK)
Jaja Coelho : He wast best offansive soccer in our team (Dubai)
Umut Bulut : He was first forward in our team. (Toulouse)
Hrvoje Cale : He was left back.

Our important new transfers;

Zokora from Sevilla everybody knows him ;) We paid 5 Million € for him
Paulo Henrique from Westerlo We paid 4 million € for him. He is good talent. Him football style like Hulk. He is  strongly forward. I think he will be dangerous for Benfica's defence.
Adrian Mierzejewski from Poloni Warszawa. We paid 5.3 million € for him. He was best soccer in Polish League. He is play maker.

Our tactic: Our manager is Senol Gunes he is important coach on world. He was coach of Turkish national team in 2002 world cup. He choose 4-2-3-1 and we play for pass and fight.

------------------Tolga-----------------

Serkan---Giray---Glowacki----Piotr

-----------Zokora----Colman--------

-----------------Adrian-----------------

----Burak----Henrique----Altintop

Our best player is Burak Yilmaz he is strongly and very fast. He like to run behind to defence. Colman is playmaker. He have good pass but he is not strong. Giray is best defender in team. Glowacki is good defender but he is slow :(
Our defence is bad this is good for Benfica. But our midfielderse and forwards very good :) This is bad for Benfica ;)

What is the opinion of Turkish fans about Quaresma and Simão?

Turkish fans like to Quaresma's football style. He best talent our league but he is selfish he don't helpto  team defence.
Simao is good soccer. He have very good freekick. Turkish fans like him too. But Almeida is ineffective. He is not fast in matchs.

Thank you for answering. I have some more questions/curiosities:

1- what is the general perception Turkish football fans have over Portuguese football. What do you know about Portuguese football? Do you know any clubs? Is the Portuguese league on any local sport channels weekly?

2- how is Trabzonspor funded? Do you have a rich owner? How do you rank in therms of budget compared with the main teams from Istanbul?

3- what sort of wages does Trabzonspor pay to the top players?

4- why do you celebrate at the 61st minute?

Hopefully you can answer these. No more questions. Feel free to ask anything.

Good luck in the upcoming season.  O0

1. Turkish fans aren't know much about Portugal League. Usually Turkish fans know Porto,Benfica and Sporting Lisbon. But I know a lot of teams in Portugal :) We don't watch to Portugal  League on TurkisH TV :( I watch match highlights on web. Turkish channels showed Benfica's Euro League matchs (PSV and Braga) Finally Turkish fans know Hulk, Falcao, Saviola and Cardozo from Portugal League.

2. We have not rich owner. Trabzonspor funded ( TV,advertising...)
Our rank;

1.Fenerbahce
2.Galatasaray
3.Besiktas
4.Trabzonspor

3. Zokora 1.650.000 €, Colman 1.450.000 € We pay for soccers like this

4. To celebrate 61.minute :) 61 is very important number for us. 61 is traffic number of Trabzon city ;)
