I'm not talking about their looks, what I meant is that a good Japanese is a pure Japanese when it comes to personality, culture, etc. With all its pros and cons (a lot of cons), that's what makes it interesting.

A Japanese Brazilian is just a Brazilian with a widescreen.

I have a cousin who's working in there and she's grown tired of it. She really wants to go back to Portugal, the cost of living in there is incredibly high and she does have a quite decent job. She also says that it's difficult to find someone who could have a decent conversation for more than 5 minutes. :-X

She used to really like Brasil before going there (amybe she still does), but she got a bit disillusioned...

A very honest post. I am easily seduced by beauty in countries, but I defy any European to not be disappointed by Brazil. Also the cost of living is astronomical.

It depends on the state or city, maybe in Rio/São Paulo, but if you go to little cities/towns, it's very cheap, everything and incredibly beautiful. I have friends in a small city in the State of Espirito Santo, and they told me that.

Don't be an idealist.... I have many friends who dated Japanese, they can be just as fucked up mentally as western girls - more so even. Neurotic is the word you most often hear..

Japan is like Italy. They are masters of visual selling of their culture. To find the little squeaky japanese girls in anime/Jporn/ tv shows is rare in real life... That is why japan has one of the lowest rates of sex between men and women anywhere on earth..  The image of Japanese female culture does not match the reality... if it did, I would sending this post from Shinjuku.. The Japanese know how to sell fantasy. I love their culture and I like to delve into the fantasy of their culture industry, but I know the reality also.

One of the most beautiful thing about Brazilian women is they actually like men and enjoy sex.

I said pros and cons. I'm not idealizing anything, by the contrary. The Japan that you see in, let's say, manga or anime doesn't exist. Cool Japan! isn't that cool at all. But there are differences, and within those differences everyone's different.

What I like is the real thing. The same way I like Portugal despite hating most of you motherfuckers.

Same. We portuguese are despicable. Though i think that is because of poor education from the past, and that seems to be changing, but very very slowly. I don't have much hope.

Really? I think we're getting worse.

One positive thing is that the catholic church is losing a lot of weight, influence.

Greek people are some of the most stupid people i know.

90% of Athenians live in exactly the same style flat, with the same furniture and same grandma cooking the food. They are all clones of each other. Education is basic.

Some Greeks are smart, maybe from ancestry - never from school...

I love Greece, with huge desire and love. I shiver sometimes and how much I love Greece.

Greeks? Don't care if they there it not..

Instead of being Catholic assholes we're becoming non-religious assholes.

In what sense? I recognize that much of the people who enroll in university these days are dumb and so on, but at least they have acess to some stuff their parents never dreamed of. Some of them get out of the university the same way they were before, true that. We are far from what I consider good, but at least that's something.

I'm not even talking about trying to create a true society of knowledge, a true democracy, where the average portuguese doesn't get driven by poor emotional judgements... we'll never get there. Or maybe in 2500.

I'm just saying we're more informed, and that can't be bad.

By the way, why is 90% (of course I'm exaggerating) Athens made of three storey flats on narrow streets?

We're becoming less and less respectful to others,

We didn't deal that well with the change that this country suffered since the late 80's and early 90's,

We're more prone to corruption and "franciscleverness",

Luís Freitas Lobo,

etc. etc. etc.
