I think Jara will actually be a sucess in Greece. Hes very hard working and a fresh start in a league like the greek league might be positive for him, especially because he will be working with a manager that already knows him and what he can bring to the clube.

My opinion on the Jara transfer is that I am not convinced he was needed unless we offload Affelay who plays as a left winger. To be honest I dislike Affelay very much and would give Jara a shot at the left wing position.

However.. perhaps there is another angle to this transfer... maybe it is part of a give and take.. I doubt you paid the €10 million for Samaris up front. I imagine like most clubs you only paid half or a quarter on the transfer day... the rest would be paid in installments.. However I am just thinking like an agent now..

Great point, it might be exactly that. A way to soften the debt with Samaris transfer and while giving the new manager somenone he knows and possibily asked for.

Jara is a utility player, not a great player, but he can play a few positions up front, hard worker and that might be what the manager wanted as im sure Affelay isn´t that type of player.
