Really poor by Olympiakos. Vitor Pereira won't last long
And you know this how? Because of this match? LOL

Olympiakos team is not great, few really good players. And he arrived in just over a month. A lot of games, little actual training. He's not a magician ffs. You think Marinakis and Karembeu don't know this, don't know football? Only if they were incompetent, which I doubt, they would sack VP because of the elimination on the EL. At this point, you can not demand much, it's very earlier.
He'll be sacked because of the same reason Leonardo Jardim was. He knows how to organise his team well but offensively it's just not good enough. It was like that at porto aswell.

I'm not saying he wil be sacked if he gets knocked out by Dnipro,I'm saying he won't last much longer. Will probably be sacked in the middle of next season when Marinakis gets bored with the poor attacking football
Ok, we'll see then...

Vítor Pereira is always average or worst in Europe.

Dnipro played in a neutral venue lacks of competitive games but it is always a very though team to play....they give everything, and they starting to get used to play in kyiv.

the third best ukr side on the same level as the first greek side.

awful decision on olympiacos disallowed goal.

Faliro

I agree, terrible decision..

I also agree about what you said about Dnipro.. we are about the same level.

According to Transfermarkt they are worth around £70.6 million.
We are worth around £67 million.

I think with Michel we would have had the advantage. But with a new coach new tactics new CB.. it was never going to be a walk in the Park.

Very true.

The game will be open, no stadium punishments pending, which is rare for a Greek team in Europe :2funny:

However, faith in the team is weakening, not sure if it will be a sell out. Depends what PAO do to us on the weekend I think.

He wouldn't need to be a magician to go through against the worst Dnipro of recent history in a fucking neutral field. Michel's team, which almost qualified in the CL, would've done that easily.
Worst Dnipro of recent history? Elaborate.

"Michel's team, which almost qualified in the CL, would've done that easily."

Nothing more than supposition.

What's there to elaborate? They hardly have a championship to play in. Last official match was more than 3 months ago.

Obviously, I'm not psychic :P
So, because of the winter pause. They are the worst Dnipro in recent history. Makes sense.

No, there are also those deaths that are happening around them. And the fact that they can't even play at home.

The fact that there are ukrainian teams even competing right now it's remarkable.

I very much doubt that those foreign players remain in Ukraine on their own volition. I know I wouldn't.

Faliro

Which makes their victory even more impressive...

Players don't want to be there..
The stadium was empty, could hear the players talking to each other during the game.
Playing in a neutral stadium
etc

I wouldn't too, but because of the cold  ;D

Anyway, they are playing an European game, they do their best with the objective of going to a better club, or just to leave Ukraine, so a lot of motivation. They are fresh, a lot of training time, preparing to the game.. adapted to temperature and pitch.

And they have good players, Konoplyanka being one. Faliro said too that their team is worth about the same of Olympiakos. So I think you are underrating, underestimating Dnipro.

The coach I don't know. It seems he was the former coach of Metalist. A team that has made very good championships.. 2nd and 3rd places since he's there.

Yep,ukraine in eurocups now can only use kyiv and lviv cities.

Dnipro plays  at home in dnipropetrovsk for the league, the city is 200 km's from the conflict zone, there are no problems there but no western airliner wants to travel to eastern ukraine now after malasyan airliner was shot down in eastern ukraine and Uefa don't take any risk.

living in dnipropetrovsk is normal.....kharkiv the city outside of the conflict zone more dangerous to live.

players in ukraine  are safe,no one lives in donbass.......

all the five clubs from the Donbass(conflict zone),shakhtar donetsk, metalurh donetsk and olimpik donetsk, zorya luhansk and illichivets mariupol move their headquarters to other cities, kyiv(center),lviv(west),zaporizha(east),dnipropetrovsk(east).

so five clubs don't play at home,no UPL games in the  Donbass region.
it is realy a unique and weird situation,a league with only 14 clubs,30 per cent of them can not play games at home.

you know people in the west understand very little about ukraine, they think all the east of the countrie is at war, wrong! it is the donbass region.

yes there were problems in kharkiv and in the city more in the south Odessa but there is no war there.

almost all the foreign players left  Metalist but that was due to the club being in a financialy collapse, can even close doors next summer, can not even play the rent of the metalist stadium to the kharkiv municipity, might play home games in Sumy.
Chornomorets Odessa is also in financialy turmoil, their owner a bank from odessa close doors,a lot of foreigns left chornomorets last year because of that fire in a odessa building who kill more than 100 people.

basicaly ukraine football is bankrupted as the countrie with only shakhtar, dynamo and dnipro being in a stable situation though i have some doubts about dynamo now since their major sponsor,Nadra Bank just collapse.

Shakhtar have the richiest men in the countrie(akhmetov) and Dnipro the second(koloymoisky),akhmetov and koloymoisky will always be ok no matter if the countrie is ruled by a pro european or pro russian....very powerful men with a lot of black stories.

basicaly i know very well all the situation in ukraine political and football even before the net.
