Wiped out by a typical Greek mercenary side..

Platanias is not a town btw, it is a village.

Dont be upset, afterall you´ve just tied against the team of Yaya Banana!  O0

He is actually a good player.
I never said he was bad.  :)

Bryan.

Porto will appoint José Peseiro.

Marco is safe. Probably refused the Porto job for the 99th time.

I remember him at PAO. Nothing manager..

I told you all the Silva rumours were rubbish. He was never even approached by Porto.

Bryan.

Well, they have to have asked at least.

If they remembered to make a call to Egypt to see if José Peseiro could leave Ah-Ahly, they must have tried all other options first. ;D

Segue o teu Destino (follow your destiny)

Segue o teu destino,
Rega as tuas plantas,
Ama as tuas rosas.
O resto é a sombra
De árvores alheias.

A realidade
Sempre é mais ou menos
Do que nos queremos.
Só nós somos sempre
Iguais a nós-proprios.

Suave é viver só.
Grande e nobre é sempre
Viver simplesmente.
Deixa a dor nas aras
Como ex-voto aos deuses.

Vê de longe a vida.
Nunca a interrogues.
Ela nada pode
Dizer-te. A resposta
Está além dos deuses.

Mas serenamente
Imita o Olimpo
No teu coração.
Os deuses são deuses
Porque não se pensam
.

I Would translate this poem to english but It would be impossible to do it  justice. It`s Fernando Pessoa the portuguese poet in a Ricardo Reis encarnation, one of his heteronyms. It`s so fucking beautiful that you can feel the powerful emotions come right through your screen, even without understanding Portuguese.

PS Ricardo Reis believed in greek gods. It was destiny that brought Marco Silva to your beloved team and it`s destiny that one day will be fulfilled, when Marco Silva and Benfica join forces in a event of cosmic significance.

Zeus will make this happen.

According to Silva there was no contact, it was all a smoke screen.

First Villas-Boas was rumored. then Marco Silva. Then Leonardo Jardim. Then Bielsa.

...and they end up with Loseiro.

Cloughie

Marco snubbed Porto for the third time.

I can name 4 Greek coaches better than loseiro and I am a firm believer that Greece produces the most mentally unstable and generally ridiculous coaches known to football.

All these coaches are better:

Sakis Tsiolis.
Takis Lemonis.
Marinos Ouzounidis.
Makis Chavos

Beautiful poem. In Brazil the school children often have to study Pessoa and do presentations on him.  :bow2:

May I ask how do you know that?

Pessoa is regarded as an all time great poet amongst some of his peers and is studied in literature college degrees across the world. He suffers the lack of main stream recognition, due to the fact that he didn`t wright in English or even French or Spanish.

But that his a recorring thing amongst some of the most interesting, unique and rich cultures that ever existed. They don`t have a global or popular language nowadays.

He is personaly a favorite of mine along with  Homero, Dostoiévski, Orwell or Kafka.

No wonder Olympiakos and the Greek NT seem to favor foreign coaches.

You know when a Greek coach is in charge of a club because you find Passatempos shells everywhere..

Plus his office wall will look like this:
