Some years ago AEK wanted to borrow our eagle

Was last year and Benfica said the new environment would spook the bird.  :smokin:

Here is the site they wanted the bird to fly around:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXVHn8S5ZK4
Why can't they find their own eagle instead?

Genetics hasn't reached the point where they can have one with two heads yet.. but they have one - it is just crappy.

I'm surprised you're only 1 point ahead of the 2nd placed team PAOK. Also, you've conceded 16 goals already and PAOK have only considered 7 so far?

I see Pana are like 17 points behind you. Damn, they sem to be doing really badly. AEK Are 3rd and 3 points behind you, it seems.

What's your record for number of leagues won in a row? 7? Might make it 8 this season.

Will Greek football improve in the next few years? You're even below the leagues form Austria and Czech Republic in the UEFA coeficients.

The league is the closer this year than it has been in years. PAOK and AEK are far stronger than previously. Far more organised too. PAO are disintegrating, I will compose a post very soon to update you all to how many players they have lost this winter to pay debts.

Yes, we have reached 7 league titles in a row twice. If we win this year - we break all records.

As to improvement - Greek football for me lives and dies on its stadia. I know many will question that - but that is how feel. Many teams go homeless for years - AEK has been homeless since 2003 for example.. The minute AEK's small 31,800 stadium is finished - the league improves double imo. The minute Toumba is rebuilt (they leave this year for Toumba to be rebuilt) the league improves again. The minute Aris is back - the league improves again. PAO for example - that little Leoforo stadium has got them out of lots of trouble in the past. They can assert a very tough atmosphere there. The Greek league I think will rise again, but it depends on the infrastructure. The more new stadia - the more good players want to come and play in Greece.

That seems a job for 1 man and 1 man only!!

Fuck

Asteras 1
Olympiacos 1

Hard game. Couldn't crack them.

PAOK go top again..

A bad result, but Olympiacos can still win the title. Only that there is not much space left for dropping points.

Asteras keeper is phenomenal. That and we are missing a Fetfatzidis type player.

We may get another transfer to help us.

I would recommend Katai, but you already tried him when he was " young and crazy". Safe to say that he is the most technically apt player we have had since Savicevic, and could do wonders, but, sadly, he suffers from the chronical pain in the lower part of his body, or in other words, he completely lacks ambition. He does not care if he plays or not, he is just happy sitting on the bench.

We need an alpha, someone like Vladmir Weiss.

Well, he was also chasing money. Went to Doha and became a retiree at the age of 25! What a lack of ambition on his part.

He kinda was a pioneer. Went to the deserts for money but his skill and technique never dropped in quality and he still walked into the Slovakian NT and always looks dangerous when he plays for them.

Fetfa went to the desert - and Greeks laughed at him. Then Tziolis did it and he of course can't be dropped from the NT, so everyone went quiet...

Anyone know anything about Jonathan Bamba of St Etienne?

That is a rare case. But anyway, it still shows utter lack of ambition for a player, especially at that age, to decide to play there: or China, USA...There is no progressing once you go to play in one of these countries.

Why? I read that he was kicked out from the first team because he did not want to extend his contract ( he demands more than 70k euros per month).

The biggest waste was Nilmar. We tried to take him out the desert a while back but his wages were insane.

Figueiras gone to Braga. Not unhappy. Never liked him as a player for us.
